Are you sure this "flood" was an "accident"?

Hypno - I have a new rule, no more picking up dirty washing from DS' floor, I really have reached the 'not in the basket - doesn't get washed' stage. Life far too short.DC.

I am generally of the same opinion, DC, but I am having someone come to measure for windows on Tuesday, so I know how much I have to save......at the moment, he would be better of putting a ladder up outside and measuring up that way, because there is no way he could get into DS's bedroom, yet alone get anywhere near the window!
So, desperate times call for desperate measures.......I had no choice but to go in there :eek:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
And you got out.. within the same 24hrs ?.....you never cease to amaze me.DC.

God, yes! My brother is 24 and still leaves it all over his room. It's only when mum goes away that I instigate the 'not in the washpile - doesn't get washed' rule. Amazingly, after a long false start, it works.
I'm all for the caring parenting* approach, but sometimes there's just being a sucker guys!
*N.B. Not a parent, no intentions of becoming one for a long time, shouldn't be teaching mothers how to suck eggs but trust me on this, if you don't change it, it won't get changed! Please call me 'Pickle'

But the fact is, I still need the window to be measured for a replacement! That doesn't make me a mother who regularly does the washing!!
