Well, I got the award for the most spectacular tumble today......came away with two fat lips a cut forehead, a grazed chin, a VERY swollen hand, and some mighty fine bruises. I have such a headache.....thank goodness I was wearing a helmet! I look and feel like I have been 9 rounds with Mike Tyson's bigger, uglier brother.....
Ah well, the things we do.......off to take some mega painkillers and go to bed - got to go to Cambridge in the morning for a breakfast seminar so that'll be fun as I look and walk like something out of Dr WhoSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. Strewth Hypno - your tumble sounds horrid _pale_ Can I make a suggestion that you call NHS Direct when you wake. I can't imagine you'll be sleeping well tonight so maybe call them early hours if you wake before usual. If you are sick in the night then I'm imagining they'll suggest a quick visit to A&E.
I'm sorry if that sounds a bit scary - but like others here I just want you to be sure you are OK and not just blag yourself through a day when you feel unwell (I've been reading your diaries for a while and you have form). Anyway, none of us can tell you what to do, but if I could find the finger-wagging smiley from ZTD - whose posts have had me giggling this evening - I'd add it right here.
Go carefully young lady!0 -

Thanks guys - I did sleep badly, but that was due to the pain in my hand rather than the head....I didn't feel nauseous at all, so will be ok. I have some super painkillers left over from when I had my neck/back problems so will use them to see me through the day. I have a seminar to go to in Cambridge today, so need to drive, but I have an automatic, so once I am up and running, hopefully the hand won't give me too many hassles.
DS is off to Thorpe Park today with a friend - they have annual passes too, so they are all off out for a "free" day....Thank you Tesco Clubcard :T
I'm off to bank, scratch, and try and make myself look human......hmm, 2 out of 3 should be possible.....not sure about the third!

Good morning Hypno,
The fall sounded nasty, hope it's not too painful today.
Only done half the scratchies, V is updating it's site. Also tried to get rooms in the Travelodge Autumn Sale, but the site won't let you book, as it's too busy!!!!! Will try again in a bit.
Plan for today, is another day on the rightmove site!!
Hope everyone has a good day0
