Oh I am so sore!! Am ok....have some spectacular bruises about my person, but nothing broken so could have been a whole lot worse.

Seminar was ok - breakfast was a bacon bap which was lovely and has been duly entered on my tracker. Have to be careful to stay away from the comfort food while I am feeling very ouchy, and I certainly won't be going for my planned run tonight.

It is late night shopping tonight so DD and I will be on the hunt for a laptop and PC.....at least I have saved up enough to pay for them, so that is very good. I am quite proud of the fact that MSE money can buy them without the need to borrow any.

Bacon baps are always a nice treat :)

Hope the shopping goes well tonight Hypno.

Just done Dorset, Somerset & Wiltshire on Rightmove, had to stop now, I'm at the point of either saving everything or nothing, so will do more tomorrow.

Ooooohhhhhh - hugs (gentle ones) Hypno - sounds painful!

Brilliant that you're buying the computers with MSE cash! Things are so much better when they're 'free' xx
  • Hypno, sorry to hear you're still at 'ouch' stage. Good luck on getting the PC and laptop you want.

I'm really sorry for the thread hijack, but not sure where else to ask for advice... the charity board doesn't appear to get much traffic and your buddies on this thread have been so good to me in the past. I just need a bit of advice

I work for a charity that has permission to put up signs outside our building, but want to check with the local residents that they're happy with the signs as they are.

BUT, I don't know what questions to ask (all I can think of is colour, wording, size) and how to word the questionnaire fairly. We're looking at questions were people respond by ticking either strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree, strongly disagree.

Can anyone help me with this? All I need are some questions to put in the questionnaire. I don't expect to need loads, but want the residents to feel able to give their points of view and not think this is some pretence at consultation!

Any help gratefully received - Thanks, Hiphouse x

How about drafting some sample pictures of signs and asking them to tick a box next to the picture if it is acceptable to them?

Other than that simple questions would be best eg:
Do you prefer the colour of the signs to be
    1. Black and white
    2. Red and white
    3. Blue and white
    4. Don't mind what colour they are

So, I now have a tiny weeny netbook that is going to take a while to get used to.....but which looks lovely and neat and will fit in my handbag wherever I go :D

I also have a new desktop and printer which DD is currently installing for me.

All paid for with savings from MSE money :T

So now, I have to work extra hard to replenish the pot....but at least I have the tools again to do so!
