Thanks turfy, I will look into that - always happy to consider the cheap option :money:

DT, sorry, I missed your earlier post - I am glad you are spending a little on yourself. It is something I've not done for many years, and am feeling and looking a lot smarter since I started thinking about what I own and what actually suits/fits!

And, yes, I can see my netbook going with me all over the place - it has 9.5 hours battery life (allegedly) so will mean I can do bits of work at ski races etc. I haven't got mobile broadband, though, so matched betting and stuff like that will still be done at home.

    OK property !!!!!! coming up:

    http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-22139389.html

Over our budget but very nice, only problem is there's a small airfield nearby.

Bed 2 is tiny, but would be a dressing room/walk in wardrobe.

And another one, again over budget!!

    Completely different style :)

Yes, describing that room as a bedroom is definitely optimistic! A walk in wardrobe is just what is required I reckon!

Only 2 weeks until we go back, so busy disposing of things to try not to go over luggage allowance, so one pair of trousers (too big & well worn) and one jumper (was originally one of the DS's ones) gone. So the clearout of the grots has started :)

Admittedly still don't like throwing anything away, but with luggage allowance it would cost more to take back, and why do it if it's grotty anyway? I can understand the sums and the logic, but it goes against the frugal/green mindset :o

Surfbabe - I know what you feel like. OH had to be up ready for a 06:30 conf call to west coast america, so had to be up and awake ready, so 05:30 start here :(

Oh my word - if I lived in a house like that second one, I'd never go out, I'd just be staring at the sea all day. Then walking around my lovely house stroking things :o:D

    Back to handbag !!!!!! :)

Spotted this thread in Grabbit http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2397143&highlight=bhf

Apparently 2 different opportunities for handbags. Radley are doing a joint promo with the British Heart Foundation, so people who donate quality bags get £30 off a Radley voucher, so some nice second hand ones of various makes could be coming in.

Others have found new Radley ones in some stores, but without the dog tag., so it appears Radley have donated some new ones.

So if you're near a BHF charity shop, it could be worth a look.
