I normally tell people to check with their local sorting office as sometimes they don't leave a card.

I had a parcel that was meant to be here last weekend, said to OH this morning that I was going to go to the Sorting Office after dropping the kids off at school to see if it was there, he said that he had a parcel that hadn't turned up. I went there and asked if they had anything and showed proof of my address and she came out with both the parcels. My one had 12/3 written on it and she said did they not leave a card and I said no. It's really annoying.

Is there a reason you aren't claiming off Royal Mail for lost parcels? You've got proof of posting, use it.
Exclamation and question marks - ONE exclamation mark or question mark is sufficient to exclaim or ask about something. More than one just makes you look/sound like a prat.
    Should OF, would OF
. Dear oh dear. You really should have, or should've listened at school when that nice English teacher was explaining how words get abbreviated.

I am going to send in a claim form, but they told me in the Post Office, because it was not something that could be tracked, ie recorded, and was just a reciept i would be lucky to get anything, but now youve suggested claiming ill give it a shot. Maybe the Post Office are like Tesco staff and try too discourage you from getting DTD

As you are a trader the losses can also be written off against your tax, so you are slightly better off than a private seller who only has unique one off items from their own homes that they are selling.

Oh dear, I fear you may not be quite understanding what constitutes a trader. I'd register properly on ebay as sometimes people who break the rules seem to attract problems, co incidence or not I couldn't say, but we've seen it on her before. Best not forget to let HMRC know as well.

Why are you assuming im a trader, just because ive several items of the same description????. Then surely people on here who buy several phones etc in one go, to get extra points for Tesco rewards for example and then sell them on Ebay should be classed as the same. Obviousley im going to try and sell them for a profit if i can. If i wanted to lose money i would give them to charity. These items have been in the garage for a long time and now were moving to a smaller house ill have no where to put them

Yes thats a trader as your buying to resell so you need to register with ebay and the HMRC.

It doesn't matter how much you do it as soon as you but to resell your a business *simples*
