Help! Peter Kay Question On Show Times

Options
Hi all,

I am wanting to book some train tickets for Nottingham to Manchester to see Peter Kay in May,

I am trying to find out how long the show roughly is, the train leaves Manchester at 22.30 hours from Piccadilly Station, his show is due to start at 19.30, the later train is no good as it won't arrive into Nottingham until 6am the following morning

I have tried to ring the M E N arena but all I get is an automated message never any one to speak to,

All help would be most appreciated
Many thanks
Jayne

  • Chances are the running times won't be confirmed until the tour begins. Why not make a night of it and stop over in Manchester? Not exactly money saving, I know, but think of it more as hassle saving....

I would loved to have stayed over but this is not an option, my daughters baby will only be a couple of months old and this will be the first time she would have left her with her partner so she needs to get back straight after the show.

    Thanks for the reply

  • Things at the MEN generally finish around 10 to 10.30 (generally main act comes on 8.30-9ish, I'd imagine Peter Kay might have a couple of warm up comedians beforehand) but you need to be aware that getting out of the place and over to Piccadilly will add anything up to another 30 mins on. I think you'd have to be optimistic to get the 10.30 train (or would have to leave the show early)

    Congrats on your new granddaughter!
I went to see Peter Kay a few years ago, and back then it was just him- no warm up (obviously things could have changed!). The tour starts in April, so maybe you could ring Ticketmaster after that. Failing that, you could be extra kind and let me have your tickets as a belated birthday present!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Is there any reason the baby can't be left with its Dad?

bet you havent been a new dad :)

we went to see Rhod Gilbert a few weeks ago and the show over ran by nearly an hour so would be worried about catching a train that early :(

No, but I've been a new Mum, of a baby who had a Dad, with whom I was happy to leave the baby.

It was an innocent question, and no criticism implied. I just wondered why Mum couldn't stay out the night.

I can't tell you what time the show is due to finish, but I would be amazed if you managed to make the 10.30pm train. The MEN is a nightmare to get out of, then you need to get to Picadilly, and then you need to get to the platform (which is usually the furthest out, a good walk in itself!). I would be looking at a clear hour to get to the train.
    Gone ... or have I?

Good thing OP's not off to see Ken Dodd-the baby would be walking by the time they got out of that gig!:rotfl:

    Thanks everyone for your replies,

Happy belated birthday wishes pinkduvetdiva & sorry but there's no way I would give these tickets up.

Lacey is her first child & she is a little nervous about leaving her all night for the first time also dad is at work the following morning.

I think the best bet is to wait till the tour starts then give ticketmaster a ring as suggested by pinkduvetdiva, failing all that I think I may stick to my original plan and drive.

So here's another question for you all, the best place to park near MEN arena that's easy to exit after the show.

    Thanks again
