  • Morning all!

Looking lovely and sunny here at the moment, just in time for the weekend when it's due to rain

Not much in the way of OS last night - been doing more stripping of the stair rails, and am off to (hopefully) look at new newel posts and spindles this weekend. Should be interesting.....:rotfl:

Did manage to get the meal plan and Mr T delivery done for tonight, and I've planned a trip with my sister to bulk buy all our meat. That should last me a good few months for things like chicken fillets, mince meat etc. Good job I defrosted the freezer the other week :T

Our little seedlings are coming along nicely, we now have cabbages to accompany the sprouts from earlier in the week :j and DD is religiously tending to them each day:happyhear

Diva & NicLou - thoughts being sent your way for Tris and you DF
JC - glad you are feeling a little better & here's hoping the floor stays in the right place for you from now on!
Julie - fingers crossed for DH and his meeting

Hopefully the weather holds out long enough for me to clean the bunny hutch out in the dry, and maybe have a little tidy up of the garden.

And then there's the big event on Sunday - the mighty MUFC v Liverpool - can't wait for that, although it's looking likely we'll be watching it at home and not the pub :( still that's very moneysaving, don't you think? :money:

Hope you all have a good day

    God afternoon all.

Day off today so I have been pottering around the house watering plants and other things that I forget when doing a quick clean :) I'm about to dust & vac the living room & kitchen and mop the floors so it's all nice for the weekend.

Lovely & sunny here this morning but I think that rain is forecast for later tonight and most of the weekend :(

The menu plan says that it's meatballs & spaghetti tonight but I may revise it as DD, DS1 and DS2 have already said that they won't be in for tea. I'll perhaps so a bacon & tomato sauce with pasta instead and save the meatballs until all 6 of us are here.

Diva Prayers said for Tris and your other friends

NicLou Prayers for your friend too

JackieO Is the church in Tottington St Annes? My parents live about half a mile away from it towards the golf course and they sometimes go there. We're all cathiolics but Mum & Dad like the vicar so much that they attend. I'm only about 3 miles away myself - small world :) Glad to read that Big Frank had his operation and hope that his recovery is smooth.

I'd better dash and get the dusting done before I spend the next 2 hours on here :o Have a good day all xxx
  • Nervously waiting for the garage to ring and say the car is fixed. Then it's a long up hill walk (2 miles?) to retrieve it and hand my card over to be abused by them...
I always object strongly to the amount of money a car costs to keep going as it is in many ways a very anti-social device - pollution, remoteness etc.
But so far the usefulness outweighs the negatives - just!

    Have a happy day everyone.

    Afternoon all ,

MSD - you can "bore" me all you want; I've bent your ear enough recently! Many positive vibes going your and Tris's way xx

Well, believe it or not people I've had some good luck over the past couple of days!

First up, I found out I'd won a tenner on the lottery on Weds! I can honestly say prior to then, my only win had been £6.48 on the Euro millions about 3 years ago! I then played a couple of games of Monopoly on their site and won a total of £34!!!! Total profit for that £29!!!!!

Secondly, my oldest SD has finally got herself a job!!! She's the last one of her group of mates to get one, but now it means she can stop hasseling about being bought a car and start earning some money towards it! Although why you need a car to get to school when the bus has served perfectly well for the last 6 years, I'm not quite sure...

And finally, I saw the doctor today (who actually recognised me from when I was about 14!) who said there was absolutely no reason for me to wait for 6 months to try to conceive again :j :j :j :j :j :j

Apparently, to all intents and purposes, my smear was normal, and she agreed that the leaflet that was sent out with my letter was a bit misleading and also very insensitively named. Just want a bit of normality now please - I've seen enough of hospitals and doctors to last me a life time:eek:

Anyway, my OS today consists of sending DH to do the Tesco shop and that's about it! On doctor's orders DH and I are going out tonight to celebrate :D

Hope everyone is ok and having a nice day, hugs all round xx

    Good afternoon everyone,

Thank you for your thoughts on Wednesday. It's been a tough week and I did go to work on Wednesday but that was a mistake. The kids and I will be going up to see him over the weekend and leave some lillies for him (he grew some beautiful aarum (sp?) ones in our last house).

We are off to St Ives next Friday for 10 days as I am sick of cooking and cleaning and it is the only way I can get a break :D and we are all looking forward to it.

There is a chicken curry in the SC and I have a small pile of ironing to do later. The house is clean and the washing up to date. Not much else to report really.

Gentle hugs to all in need today including Tris and I hope you are all having a good day.

    Smoky. xxx
