"Yes dear" is fine. It shows deference.

    Help!

    The washing machine!

    Arrrrrggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know anything about them? When I switch it on it goes straight to the spin cycle, then makes a churning noise, all the lights flash and nothing else happens!

I keep turning it off at the mains, but when I turn it on again the same thing happens!

    HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!

What kind of washing machine is it?

What's the programme dial set to (and don't just say 4...)

Have you got clothes in it right now?

Is it full of water right now?

Set to zero on all of them.

Have you got clothes in it right now?

I've taken them out - the door does open once I turn it off.

You don't say what kind of Indesit - but these are the error codes for a 1200.
