    • Checked banking - its dire :(

    • £5 voucher arrived from Fairy in the post, will try and use it in Tesco later, though none of the specified products on my list :o
    • £14 in Clubcard vouchers arrived, no idea why as I had mine last month.....anyone else had extra?
    • Job searched - nothing suitable
    And still to do:
    • Shopping, stick to list, take own bags Done
    • HC from yesterday needs to go on airer in sun Done
    • OH wants me to go to a job fair with him.....will see! Done
    • Get OH to retrieve some ebay things from garage OH cant find it! Will find it over the w/end myself.
    • Photograph ebay items See above
    • Bit of housework if I feel up to it, otherwise delegate! Done
    • Sort out dry HC and put away About to do now
    • Meals from stores - a job for OH today! Done
Off to update sig with grocery totals. Anyone with cats - tesco are doing 48 pouches of Felix for £7, usually £12.20 but they havent changed the SEL, hth :)
  • Hi everyone and hope you're having lovely days

    Today:
-fill up car at tescos as cheaper and save receipt to get clubcard points when i find my clubcard again!
-make a mystery veg pasta sauce for dinner out of left over veggies in fridge
-sort out DH's childcare voucher paperwork for him as he still hasn't done it, and reckon it'll be much less energy just to do it myself, make him sign it and give it to him to give to payroll than to keep reminding him!
-send away for 5 copies of gardeners world mag for £5 - came with my good food mag (from clubcard points!)
-check and send off paperwork for life insurance
-have checked banking - roll on payday next month!
-DH out tonight so aiming for a beauty night in tonight - big bath, waxing, pedicure and a glass of wine
-Lots of free cuddles, walks, stories, reusable nappies and breastfeeding for LO
-meeting a friend and her LO for a walk later rather than for coffee
-washing out on line - hopefully the rain will hold off a wee bit longer!

Almost the weekend peeps - keep going!
    xx

Morning all, well done on the assignment Milly, and on the weight loss triangle! I lost 1lb at SW last night - 1.5lb to go til I've lost a stone! It's such a good feeling, isn't it?? :)

And the sun's shining! It's gorgeous out there! :):)

    Today I have

    * been for a cheery run - free exercise and cheery fresh air and sunshineyness :)
    * pondered and pondered how I can get through June at new job before I get paid first wages WITHOUT dipping into holiday fund and having to refund it...

    and I will...

    * do some PhD-ing
    * do some washing
    * NSD (that's the plan anyway!)
    * eat lunch at home
    * make nephew's birthday present tonight
    * do a bit of work on voluntary project

    A lovely cheery varied day!

    have a good one everyone!

    xx
  • Hi everyone

    Hi everyone

Wow, looks like everybody's got a busy day planned! And everybody's doing so well with their plans! Nice one. I'm hoping I can stay very DFW, mainly because I'm in work all day and yoga all evening so surely I can't do too much damage to my finances!

    - lunch to work - v tasty and v cheap pearl barley risotto
    - need to check WHSm's to see if my 'free' (paid for by surveys!) book has arrived :D
    - need to check bank a/c to see if the final lecky bill I paid online has only come out once and not twice as I suspect!!
    - email pal about car share/travel plans to other friend's middle-of-nowhere wedding
    - didn't dry or straighten my hair again (going for the 'touseled' look ) and starting to really like the freebie tinted moisturiser I got
    - tasty spicy SC stew tonight
    - continue with some online mystery shops I'm half-way through

    Happy Thursday everybody!

    xx
  • Hi Everyone, seems really busy today. I am sure the better weather makes us more enthusiastic, well it does me anyway:D

    Today I have
    Checked online banking hmm
Transferred Sainsburys cc balance to Barclaycard low rate for life of balance as they hoiked up the interest rate, so If it all goes ahead I will close the Sainsbury card
I am looking to see if there are other ways of reducing the amount of interest we are paying.
Have cheque to bank for phone book deliveries
I must do some serious work:o I have been drifting this past week and I must stop.
Sainsbury's shop this morning gluten free bits for ds spent £50, so I think I have gone over budget by about £30 on my food bill this month,:o

I am monitoring my electricity bill at the minute to see how many units we are using compared to this time last year

Must go through all paperwork to make sure there isn't anything else to do before end of tax year.

So I think I will go and procrastinate further by making a cup of tea:p
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

Hello everyone..seems like a busy day which is great but yes fay wins the prize for the longest list!!

Today will not be a NSD (OH has a work lunch which he forgot about..) but..

    • washing on at 30 degrees and on driers and line as usual - haven't used TD in months
    • will switch off heating today..here's hoping spring is here:rotfl:
    • wrote to both Barclaycard and Virgin Money saying that I do not need their cards anymore (debts paid off last year) :D and so can they cancel my accounts (they recently sent me new cards which I assume would mean its all still on my credit rating etc)
    • Bought HM hair dye at Super*rug so reduced to 2 for £10 rather than £6 odd each
    • Blagged new CL solutions and 2 sets of lenses even though not starting paying for new supply for a month - thank you nice opticians
    • me and mate and our OHs are going out tonight but have agreed to each eat at home first so keeping costs down. Its funny but when you broach the subject of MSE and 'do we really need to do this..will it really be worth the extra money' with people they usually agree and are pleased you mentioned it. Often I think we all spend money cos we don't check in with each other and ask do we really want to do this..anyway a few drinks it will be instead in a nice new pub down the road
    May post laters as well

    Have a lovely day everyone

    Morning all!
It's 7 degrees outside and the sun is shining...but for how long?
    Today already I have:-
    - Hung one load of HC on airer instead of tumble
    - Put another load in (If I start WM during cheap rate electric, will it be cheaper as my machine is cold fill and I suppose it only heats the water up to start with??? I'm guessing it doesn't rinse with hot water???)
    - Got sausage and bacon casserole in slow cooker on low (never made this before!)
    - Checked banks, £45 ebay sale money has gone in
    And I will:
    - Post one remaining ebay parcel and nephew's birthday present Done
    - Phone nan for brother's address...that's bad isn't it?! Done
    - Charge phone at work Done
    - Go through shopping receipts for month and seperate into "Groceries, toiletries, clothes and luxuries" just so I know...!
    - Nip to Mr T's after work to get a few shopping bits
    - Keep and eye out for surveys and ebay item listed
That's it for now I think, might add more later on if I feel motivated!

Working hard today (around surfing the net...lol) Egg statement is in, minimum payment of £17! Although I never pay the minimum I'm always interested in what it is.
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!

Hi been really busy lately so not posted much , still trying to moneysave though.
Been preparing for an interview , didn't get job :( not the end of the world at least i already have one.
DD has been rather poorly - had campylorbactor :( better now but no idea where she got it from , she is squeeky clean (bordering on ocd), and we are very careful with food.

but my list for today :
    • check online banking and do money shuffle
    • consider paying gas bill , was more than i had hoped . i have the money but will see if it will wait till payday.
    • ring with reading for electric to change supplier
    • surveys
    • competitions
    • necessary ironing
    • quick clean and tidy as freind has just sent a text to say she is coming round for social this evening:o
    • meal from plan - chicken curry in slo cooker :)
    • won £10 on lottery - moved to treat purse
    • post ebid item sold.
    • hokey cokey.
Hope everyone is keeping well , sun was amazing this morning but now its cold and rainy. Still better than snow though :)

    Afternoon all :j

I hardly ever get round to post on here anymore :(, but am off work today :j:j:j so thought I would catch up.

Well done re assignment completion, weight loss and dogs' haircuts. My diet is going spectacularly badly :o and I don't get assignments any more thank goodness

OH clips the hair of small dog #2, as she looks like a baby porcupine if not. It looks ok, if a bit odd around the head and tail sometimes :rotfl:

    Today I have:
Washing dried on line before it starts to spot with rain

Been to the garden centre which was full of housewives and pensioners. Felt a bit out of place, as it is a long time since I was one,and not quite got to the other stage yet :rotfl:Bought shallot sets, broad bean and sugar snap pea seeds, some new herbs to replace the ones that either the frost or the chickens (or both) got, and some tomato plants to live on the kitchen windowsill till they can go out in the greenhouse. I also popped into the farm shop and picked up minced beef which was on offer and cheaper than the supermarket :T and some really good quality heart shaped pasta reduced to 49p from £1.89 or something ridiculous because valentine's day is over :rotfl:- so not a NSD

    Walked dogs for free exercise

Checked online banks, and read online news paper

In a minute I will make bolognese sauce from some of the minced beef I bought, and bendy veg from the fridge

I might motivate myself to go out and plant the shallots in the bit of ground OH has dug over

I might hoover the stairs which are hairy because the cat goes to sleep on them.

But there again I might not - I am on leave, after all!

    Have a nice rest-of-the-day everybody:wave:
