When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important :D

Good morning lovely peopleHSpuschel-schmal.gifHSpuschel-schmal.gif
Up at my usual time today - nice to have a minute to sit and type this before the girls appear;)
Off to work for the morning....am absolutely shattered though, I could lie in bed all dayHSpamper.gif
I'm pleased with myself for finishing the assignment yesterday.....was only due in January:rotfl:

Ok, here's my list:
  • check banking - why did tax credits go in yesterday, a day early?!
  • daily scratch
  • packed lunches for girls to school
  • heating off
  • meal from plan tonight - puff pastry pizzas (made by dd) and oven chipsHShungry.gif
  • NSD hopefully - I will resist the Body ShopHSlol.gif
Can't think of much more...

So, have a fab day all of youHShearts11_27135.gifHShearts11_27135.gif
I really need to sort out a new signature!

    Tenth Anniversary Combo Breaker
    Morning all!
It's 7 degrees outside and the sun is shining...but for how long?
    Today already I have:-
    - Hung one load of HC on airer instead of tumble
    - Put another load in (If I start WM during cheap rate electric, will it be cheaper as my machine is cold fill and I suppose it only heats the water up to start with??? I'm guessing it doesn't rinse with hot water???)
    - Got sausage and bacon casserole in slow cooker on low (never made this before!)
    - Checked banks, £45 ebay sale money has gone in
    And I will:
    - Post one remaining ebay parcel and nephew's birthday present
    - Phone nan for brother's address...that's bad isn't it?!
    - Charge phone at work
    - Go through shopping receipts for month and seperate into "Groceries, toiletries, clothes and luxuries" just so I know...!
    - Nip to Mr T's after work to get a few shopping bits
    - Keep and eye out for surveys and ebay item listed
That's it for now I think, might add more later on if I feel motivated!
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
  • Hi everyone, posting from work.... :o

Excellent milly re the assignment, I remember the feeling well, and not with fond memories! I hated essays but enjoyed exams, weird I know and most ppl are the other way, hope its not like that for you!

Fayjmck - what a list, that sounds like a full time job!!!

Traingle, excellent news re losing almost a stone :j! Such a good feeling... Depsite dieting and exersising I still haven't lost anything I'm afraid its going to start affecting my will power...

Feeling really fed up today. I got an email from my insurers yesterday that said a week after purchasing my insurance they have increased my premium by £90. Initially I told them about the accident I had, when I received the paperwork it said that I hit an cyclist so I emailed to say there were no other cars involved and now I have an additional expense

    today I WILL:
    • Call insurers and try to get out of additional premium
    • call beauty salon :(
    • surveys (had £3.60 yest :rotfl:)
    • Am driving at 60 instead of 70 to see if it makes a difference over a week
    • re-do budget if I can't get out of the additional premium to see where that will come from
    • go to the gym! Didn't go yesterday as was so tired after work
    • Collect tools for florring after gym
    • tea from freezer, hm lunch
On a brighter note am no longer in the dog house

Have a great day everyone x
