Morning all, its grey and dry here.Hope everyone is well.
    Happy birthday Vicky A!

I'm not going out today, have decided i'm going to stay in mending stuff and clearing out the yard, ready for the planting the tatties.
Thanks for the heads up about B & Q, were re-fitting the kitchen so will be ideal, thanks ! Looks like i'll be tormenting my poor DH this weekend :p.

Just out a load of washing to the sounds of birds singing, such a lovely sound.
Right better crack on or i'll never start :o
  • Bitsy – Love to you and your parents. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to lose our pets, isn’t it? I’m sure you are right and Rosie is in a much nicer place.
Rabbit8587 – As far as the revision goes, I used to find getting a big piece of paper and doing one of those spider-diagrams really helped, but it really does depend on how your brain works. Best of luck for the exam.

Jc2703 – glad to hear you’re feeling a bit bette. Take it easy!
Redruby – what a fantastic find!
Jackieglasgow – that’s shocking! I went into my local supermarket and asked if I could buy a ham bone for my dog, and was told “No, but I can give you a hambone if you were going to make stock…”. So I said thank you very much and went home to “make stock”…
Lowesy – I don’t blame you for being bullish! Have they given you a reason for leaving it so long before tests?

We went to see a couple more houses last night – one of them might be The One. Three decent sized bedrooms, garden – even a utility. Hopefully we’ll get a second viewing (with Dad in tow – aren’t Dad’s great?) and we can think about making an offer. Very scary, but we’ve gone over and over the figures, worked out what we could afford and then looked for a house that was considerably under that so we wouldn’t be overstretched. We should be able to make overpayments on our mortgage so I’ll soon be hopping over to the Mortgage Free Wannabe board and checking that out! Need to have a SERIOUS declutter. Wonder how much I can sell online…

I’ve been fancying making a Bakewell Tart for ages (having found some slightly out-of-date almonds in my cupboard!) so might try and do that tonight. My nearly-step-mum bought me a gorgeous tart dish and I really want to use it for something. OS wise today - Pasta bake for dinner tonight – nice and cheap (and easy). Portioned up a large (2.2kg) pack of bacon that we bought from the farmer’s market and froze that. It cost me £8. Is that good for that much bacon?

OH and I have decided it’s time to crank the MS up a notch, now that we’re definitely going to move, so I’m off to see what’s going on on some of the other boards. Wish me luck!

    Morning All,

You know I don't know what I would do without you all at the moment you really give me a lift everyday:beer:
    Redruby Great find well done!
Lowesy good luck at the docs

((((((((((Hugs)))))) to all those who need them

Things are pretty bad for us at the moment. DH has very little work (self employed) a huge tax bill added to the other debts we have and me being off sick with little hope of return neither of us are sleeping. Going to have a serious chat this afternoon. Think possibly a DMP. I know there is a lot of info on DFW board but something has got to give. Selling the house would truly be a last resort:(

On a lighter note DB and SIL for tea tonight so already made meat and potato and cheese and onion pies and a jam and coconut slice. Phew!

Washing on the line as its quite nice and breezy here.

Next job is a shower and make myself look human...ish:rotfl:

Then a quick hoover and tidy round.

Have a lovely day everyone x

    Hi Gemma,

The leaflet says that 6 months is pretty standard to wait for the cells to return to normal on their own. I've never had an abnormal result before, so it coming on top of everything that's happened is just not what I need. It says in the leaflet that it's best not become pregnant whilst you're receiving treatment so I need to tell the doctor to either treat the cells now, or test me again to see exactly what the cause is.

I've been fobbed off by too many doctors recently, can't help but think if we hadn't moved into a new area, none of this would have happened, my old GP was amazing...

    Morning peeps

i`m a bit late on here today but i was determined not to put the pc on until i`d finished all my little jobs so that i didn`t end up sitting here for most of the morning :D

So far so good, the houndies have been walked, all the plants watered, tea made - chilli and jackets for later and mine is all tupperwared up ready to take to w*rk with me, i`ve also made sandwiches for lunch for the next two days. I was going to make extra to freeze but decided that DH would probably want some bread later so shelved that idea for now.

The whole house has been swished and swiped and hoovered and all the pots are washed dried and put away so i`m happy.

Just had a late breakfast of HM liver & bacon pate on toast and now i just need to get changed before leaving the house.

VickyA - Happy Birthday :bdaycake:have a lovely day!

JackieO - I`m sure that i bookmarked a mackerel pate recipe on here somewhere but i can`t seem to find it to post the link, i`ve not made it yet but it sounds lovely.

Redruby - Well done on finding the door, it sounds almost identical to the doors that were in our house when we moved in, they were very nice but unfortunately they hadn`t been looked after at all and we eventually replaced them with new ones.

JC - Glad to hear that you`re feeling better today.

Jackie Glasgow - :rotfl:at the woman in the shop.

Right i need to go around the house and close the all the windows before i set off, have a lovely day everyone.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Morning all;)
Just having a quick cup of tea and an egg mayo roll. Was very organised and made the egg mayo up last night and made fresh rolls:D
Am making some blueberry muffins from the Hummingbird book but they are taking ages:o they are cooking but it is on Gas 3 which seems very low to me.
Making bacon quiche for tea and DS having fish in crumb with mash and peas. He ate ham and tomato pasta yesterday and had seconds:Thuge achievement for him...I stirred some Philly in to make it a bit creamy which worked for him.
I watched a programme last night on Tourettes which was interesting but worrying at the same time. DS is at high risk of developing it due to having autism and adhd apparently and has regular assessments. He is having one next week due to some tic like behaviour he has, facial grimacing etc. I hope he hasnt got it as he has enough to cope with:(. I always assumed you developed it as a child but a man on the programme started with his at 32 which surprised me.
Julie sorry to hear your money situation is so dire:(. You have to do what is best for you and your family at the mo. Hugs to you.
Butterflybrain it never ceases to amaze me the things the general public think they are entitled to comment on. A woman asked me in the park once what was wrong with DS as he looked !!!!!!. It is stating the bloomin obvious that you would mobilise a little better with less weight but it is not that easy. My auntie has OA and has ballooned in weight from the steroids.
  • NMP I think that you are amazing the way you cope and I do so hope things get better for you :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: x x x
BTW did that link I posted for your friend help?

Sending you some positive vibes darlin' and hope things change for the better for you and yours soon x

    Morning (only just!)
    A quick one from me.
Been at dentists this morning. All OK, had all 3 kids in tow  Dentist said their behaviour was really good and they are a credit to me :D
Had leftovers for lunch. Have no idea what I am cooking for dinner tonight. Had a blinding headache yesterday and wasn't in the mood for being organised. I am sure I can rustle something up though.

Cleaned the bathroom first thing but shan't get any other jobs done as I am going round to my mums this afternoon for a visit.

Sorry not much OS going on today. Just been a really busy week so far.

VickyA - Happy birthday. Have a wonderful day

Julie - I really hope the financial situation improves for you xx

jc - hope you're feeling better on your meds soon x

Lowesy - You're right to insist you're not fobbed off. I can understand the desire to start trying again and another 6 months wait isn't what you want to hear. Hope you get someone to take you seriously xx

Redruby - well done on your door find :D

JackieG - :rotfl: at the woman thinking raw meat will poison the dog. Would she rather you gave them cooked chicken complete with bones that will splinter? Has she even had a dog? My mums dogs loved nothing better than a nice juicy bone to chew on!

Butterflybrain - I swear some folk are sooooooo ignorant.

NPM - Hugs to you xx

Right I am sorry if I've missed anything important - doing this in a rush :o

Have a good afternoon and hugs for those that need them.

  • BB yes I forgot to say earlier that I looked at that site. It was interesting and have forwarded it on to my friend. She is looking for other parents who have kids with Retts. I have a local autism group I go to but there seems to be nothing for Retts:(
I don`t think I am amazing but thanks for the compliment:o. I cant imagine DS any other way....despite his difficulties he is the funniest, most loving boy and am beyond proud of him:D
