That's true - it's no good with dry skin.

Based on all the recommendations here I went out and bought Estee Lauder's Double Wear yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. Just wanted to ask how people managed to get it out of the bottle without loads spilling out?I tipped a bit out this morning but loads came out and I found out you really don't need that much!

Can you not poke a small makeup brush inside?

Lots of oil free moisturiser as a base will stop double wear drying your skin or try double wear light and layer where necessary, depending on how you apply, if you use your fingers then the back of the hand tip is a good one, if you use a brush pour a bit in the lid and use from there, just thought I would mention double wear powder as well, truely an excellent product which can be used on its own or very lightly with the liquid, on its own it gives extra coverage with no clinging to dry bits:) I know powder dosn't suit eveyone but if you like it this is one of the best:)

  • I loved Estee Lauder Double Wear but unfortunately I am allergic to it!
I am using a Clinique foundation at the moment but it's not very good coverage and the woman at the Clinique counter said it was the thickest they had :( But I got the Clinique one because it's good for people with allergies.
Has anyone got any reccomendations for foundations for people with sensitive skin? I need a good long-lasting thick coverage one, because I have bad acne which I can't even cover with concealer, powder and the Clinique foundation, but I could cover with the Estee Lauder! And my skin is very oily too. It's a nightmare!

I'm definitly going to check out the double wear! Grammar Girl, what shade do you wear, your skin looks quite similar in colour to mine. I'm hoping to go to the counter and get a scary make over, the problem I usually find is they try and make me darker, as if I couldn't possibly *want* pale skin. I need to explicitly ask for a colour to match my face lol!
The scariest ever was Benefit who went crazy with the Hoola bronser, OMG I was mortified!

Yes, me too! Its so annoying, atm I am wearing Maybelline dream satin liquid, I am layering if I feel I need extra coverage, no problems with it so far and I have super fussy skin, it does have quite a sheen to it but if you dont want that you can just pop a bit of powder on once its dried, I am using clear cornsilk atm just because I had some lying about but a light dusting of good old corn powder does the same job (its what corn silk is made of anyway) and wont clog or irritate - hth:)
