Estee Lauder double wear - great coverage and it stays on allday.
It is and it does :jI love this and have tried to find cheaper, but nothing touches it. It lasts all day without fading or smudging, and covers anything.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Another vote for Estee Lauder but this time for Maximum Cover. i find this stays on all day too, not too heavy but covers a multitude of sins.

MAC Studio Fix for me - together with MAC Prep & Prime. But I'd be inclined to visit the counter and let them recommend what is best for you.Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0

I tried a sample of Diorskin Nude from MarieClare - that was good, too.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Someone has already mentioned Smashbox primer to go before your foundation, but I also use a Mac Fix + setting spray on my face after I've put on my foundation.
I have some light acne scars and a make-up artists suggested I try Chanel Matt Lumiere with the two products above (this was when I was looking for make-up for my wedding day) and I tried them all and have used them ever since.
I've never found a foundation as good as the chanel one."carpe that diem"0 -
Based on all the recommendations here I went out and bought Estee Lauder's Double Wear yesterday and I'm really pleased with it. Just wanted to ask how people managed to get it out of the bottle without loads spilling out?I tipped a bit out this morning but loads came out and I found out you really don't need that much!0

I struggle to pour some out when the bottle's new! I think it gets thinner when it's warmer. Just be careful with it, you'll be ok. At that price you don't want to waste any! I do find that at the end of the bottle, it gets thicker, make sure you shake it every day when you use it, and keep the lid on tight. If it spills on anything it's a !!!!!! to get out.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

I pour a pea-sized amount onto the back of my hand and work with that. I usually have to add a little bit more to it, but it's better than wasting it!0 -
I have estee lauder double wear too and it is great... only problem is that I get dry skin in the winter and it is terrible on dry skin! It really clings to any dry patches and makes me look like I have leprosy!
Now that it's getting warmer and there is less central heating, my skin should start getting back to normal. Can't wait to get the double wear out again! I imagine it would be particularly good for oily skin.0
