As someone said before Estee Lauder Double Wear, I swear by it. I also use MAC Studio Fix Powder on top of it to set it. A great primer is DR Feelgood by Benefit, really stops my makeup sliding off.

Ohh yes- the Estee Lauder stuff IS thick! I had it applied after a cosmetic assistant talked me into a "make over"- was VERY thick!!

I'd also say try Bare Essentials- its not thick, but it does have max coverage and for me, did look like the "too much" effect you seem to be after- its also very easy to take off. They do make up at the counters at the drop of a hat and there are a handful around London in places like Debenhams.

You could try dermablend - made for people who need to cover scars/birthmarks. If you buy it make sure to get the remover too. Other than that a mineral makeup with a couple more layers would be my choice.

Another vote for Double Wear here. I'm using a 10 day sample at the moment and will definitely buy the real thing when it's finished. I have oily skin too and every other foundation I've used slides off by lunchtime. This just stays put! I use Superdrug Natural High radiance balm after cleansing, then ELF mineral face primer, then I apply DW with a brush, not fingers (the oil on your fingers can break down the liquid), and top it off with Revlon Matt Effect powder. I don't touch up during the day and by 5.30 it still looks fab!

DW dries very quickly so you need to move fast to get a smooth, even finish, but once applied it's not heavy or cakey. Hope that helps.

Well Mac specialise in stage makeup, they actually started off their trade only being made for the stage so maybe get in touch with the company, see if they do any industrial stuff as I know the sheer look is in for this year, they are unlikley to sell any "heavy" makeup.
Keep your eyes out for words like "matte", "flawless" and look for a good makeup base, the last thing you want is dry skin caused by your skin being scrubbed every day to remove the stuff! Dry skin = dead skin patches (even when exfoliating) = uneven skin tone after applying foundation.

Mac only do heavier coverage - even their lightest coverage is more than any normal/ lighter in other brands.
    Gone ... or have I?

yep estee lauder double wear, apply with a brush and work quickly. Covers really well, no need for concealer and i still look perfect when its time to take it off at night.

Another rave for Estee Lauder Double Wear! I use the light version for everyday wear, applied with a Mac 187 brush and STIPPLED on not swirled like so many people do on Youtube. I only use primer on my t-zone and that is Fyrinnae's velvet silica gel primer. Finish with a light dusting of Mac's mineralize skin finish natural all over and I'm good to go all day!

If it's a special occasion then I use the original double wear topped with double wear powder and I am absolutely flawless, it's just a bit too heavy for me for everyday.

I used to use Almay Amazing Lasting Foundation and it really did stay on all day. I have oily skin and never found another value for money foundation that did the trick. They don't seem to make it any more but Ive found an example on Ebay:

Well worth a try if you can get hold of some, but I wouldn't pay £24.99! It used to be about £6-£8.
