Looking to get a new phone with android software, just wanted to know how many apps are available on the android market? And do most of the apps cost or are they free?

    Many, many free apps. Most paid for ones are a token $/£0.99 though.

    I've had a Nexus One since Jan and have no paid apps, seems everything I've wanted so far has a free offering.

    I've bought a few of the games at about $2.99 a go but there are loads of free aps as well.

    Yea the andorid market has the highest % of free apps, I think I saw a chat that said 80% of the apps on the andriod market are free, compared to like 10% in the apple appstore
