I Just Cant Take Any More

I'm really sorry to hear how things are piling up.
I have only ever had one smear test that wasn't 'abnormal..pre-cancerous..etc etc' and that was taken by a consultant gynaecologist. When I asked him why I had so many that counted as abnormal (and both my daughters have) he said it's almost always a badly taken sample.
But don't make the mistake I made of discussing this with a practice nurse, who took it as a professional slur, was very rough, and..........produced yet another 'abnormal' result.
I don't know anout NHS provision near you, but before I got my endometriosis diagnosis (and I remember that you haven't got it, but probably PID) I asked for a second opinion, and went to the Women's Hospital in Sheffield. They were wonderful, and as they deal only with women, seemed really up to date. When you have some energy, it might be worth asking your GP whether there's anything similar near you.
I'm sending a hug made of blue light (apparently if we picture ourselves wrapped in it we stop feeling hot).
Love

Just sending a hug. Thankfully some very dark clouds are hovering above me on Tottenham Court Road and I'm sure I just heard some thunder. I think the rain is on its way so you'll be a bit cooler if nothing else.
Just wanted to say, like all the others, if there's anything you need just let me know.

awwww Lynz sorry to hear things are cr@ppy at the moment. I do hope you manage to get an appointment with your Doctor so that he/she can put your mind to rest. I know the first thing you think of is cancer when you get an abnormal smear - been there already once and back again in the same situation now ( I will be phoning my Doctors tomorrow to chase results ). Its bad enough having to have a damn smear test let alone getting abnormal results back - Im coming back a man or actually second thoughts Im coming back as my dog. As far as getting through this month on £100.00 - have you managed to cover all minimum payments ?, is this to live on ? fingers crossed your OH gets something soon - I know from what you have said on here he is very supportive so Im sure he is doing everything he can to sort it out. You dont do things by halves do you ? and I also know from on here that you are supposed to be keeping stress to a minimum. Look after yourself and....

Just wanted to add my agreement and support to you Lynz - you've always been so wonderfully supportive and welcoming to everyone else.
I also had abnormal smears, went back for the next and was pre cancerous (CNII and CN III), was very scary. Ended up having two different treatments (which were quite sore) but now am absolutely fine! So really don't worry - am actually very grateful now they were found and sorted.
As for the rest, I agree with the others, bad things always seem to happen at once but you have to try and take things one step at a time. Good luck with all and shall be looking out for you xxxDFW Nerd #1310 -

Hi Lynz, sorry you're feeling crappy, but things will get better....
I had an abnormal smear about 4 years ago, had laser treatment and honestly it wasn't that bad. I know you're scared about the result, but if you've had regular smears (like every 3 years) then I'm sure you'll be fine. There are different stages (I think they range from 1 to 3) You usually find when it's in it's advanced stage then the woman hasn't had a smear for a long time or at all. Don't worry hun you'll be fine....
I'm with you, the heat is getting to me aswell. I've got an eye-mask in the fridge and I take it out periodically and shove it in my bra!!! Hope that made you laugh!
Chin up....

Unfortunately - or fortunately depending on your point of view I wouldn't bet on the two being related. Pre-cancerous smear tests happen all the time, and you may have just been unlucky. Certainly, they're not serious enough to cause actual pain.
