I would advise your manager at work just in case someone is using their address. I have a mate who has found out someone registered a company at his home address and then used the company registration to get a car on lease also recorded at his address. :eek:smudger2kuk wrote: »Possibly fraud apparently, it's been passed for investigation. Don't know the ins and outs myself, but recall reading a post discussing the possibility of committing fraud by getting a phone delivered to you, then the fraudster turns up later in person claiming to be the courier sent to collect it.
Maybe someone can expand on that, and on the likelihood of it happening here.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0 -
A lot of fraudster will intercept the phone(s) in transit before they ever get to you.
The first you'll know about it is when the first bill drops on the mat.
They miss a few (like in this case, maybe), the phone gets to the real person and after some head scratching they call the network and they get it picked up or send out a prepaid SD pack to send it back in.0 -

Yeah the objective is to get the goods and scoot off before anyone realises. For the phone to reach the intended person adds another challenge to the problem (in that they know fraud is happening) rather than doing an interception in post or send to a fraudsters address.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.

Also if you believe fraud is being commited i urge you to consider putting the CIFAS flag on your credit file! http://www.cifas.org.uk/Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
