Afternoon all, unbelievably I've just had a brand (Vodafone) new 32gb 3GS Iphone delivered to me at work! There is no-one else with the same name as me here so I can only presume this must be a mistake. What would you recommend I do? Should I just contact Vodafone and tell them? I know that if this is just an error then they'll simply block the IMEI anyway so it can't be used.
I'm sure this is purely coincidence but I've just mystery shopped 3 vodafone stores in my area in the past fortnight, surely they wouldn't... a) have my address details & b) send me a phone worth in excess of £400?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

You haven't won it in competition have you? Sometimes comp wins just turn up out of the blue with no explanation.Comping again0

Phone them up and tell them. Its not yours and you know this so if you do anything with it i.e. sell it and then they probably have every right to ask you to pay for it.0

You need to check this out asap in case it's a case of identity fraud. It sounds unlikely to me but you never know. You also need to find out if it's on contract or PAYG. Someone somewhere must be paying for it. Make damned sure it's not you!0

I don't think I've entered a competition recently, it's all very odd. I think I'll just ring them, even just to make sure someone hasn't got it on contract in my name or something! I could understand it more if it went to my home address though, but my work? I never give that out.0

Perhaps it's a bonus from work. :rotfl:0 -
Possibly fraud apparently, it's been passed for investigation. Thanks for your replies.0

Wow that is scary!
If the phone arrives and there is no contract attached I'd say this is an error, if there is a full contract set up along with the phone then it would be fraud. It's just strange to think a fraudster would have the phone delivered to your work address.
Anyway if Vodafone are investigating that's good, let us know how you get on.:)0 -

Have you scanned your computer at home for viruses etc and is it up to date ? but this depends if you have ordered anything to be sent to work but im guessing possibly not since you say that you havent given the address out0
