Is the batt charger in the listing similar to yours? Did you check if yours has a (concealed) cavity where you could plug a cable. I'd say manufactures try to use the same design for the whole range.


Regarding the firmware/batteries: indeed, you are right, for a tenner!!! I must inform this friend of mine... They must be the new generation batteries because when I checked last time in November the only way was to downgrade the firmware from 1.2 to 1.1 if I remember correctly.

no sealed cavity, its a totally different design for charger. US one is a nicer design if you ask me (if i had a USA plug that is!) the pins simply pop out/into case design meaning you dont need a seperate cable... the charger pops 'onto the wall'. Problem is as others have suggested once you put on two converters its coming a fair bit off wall and will prob fall off (due to lever arm effect)... so i will take recommendation of using sellotape to ensure it stays plugged in.

And yes ebayer sent next day from UK address using royal mail... buit this obviously isnt the address ebay is advising to send back to. I feel i've been got by a loophole in a sense. I just wanted a UK charger as its inconvienient to use double converters as someone mentiooned charger will not sit on fall iwth two converters in a foreign country.. and this is what i got camera for.

My only bonus if i visit a USA charger country i dont need two adaptors lol :P

Paypal do not care about ebay regs, it is an ebay requirement that all business sellers show a proper street address somewhere .

Its ebay thats given me his US address though... i went througgh ebays 'resolve a problem' functionality not paypals..

ya... and from his help page it says 'USA orders are shipped from USA';... UK and EUROPE are shipped from UK..

So why in the hell am i expected to ship back to a USA address... probably if you need to return it in america it will show a UK address lol :P just to put you off.

What model is the battery? Try inputting that into eBay, and seeing if there is a UK charger for it. Often manufacturers will use the same battery over many different models (Sony Ericsson, for example).
