Yep, make it up on Sunday night and it would be good until Wed or thurs depending if you are fussy. Most things keep well for 4 days.
You could also do it with smoked salmon and rocket for a treat - just add some lemon juice with the mayo - a deli treat for a fraction of the cost0 -
I was hoping somebody could help me with luch box ideas for my OH. The problem is he works 12 hour shifts with 2 breaks.
There is a staff canteen but he says the food is 'rank' his words not mine. In this canteen he has acccess to a kettle, fridge(although not sure if there is much room) and a micowave.
He's told me he's fed up with sandwiches and wraps, although he always has the same filling so I would be open to other ideas for wraps. He's started taking microwavable burgers:eek:.
I would just like to surprise him with some decent, tasty ideas for his lunch, but I'm not very adventurous with food, although I can cook.:DLBM 04/10:j

How about making a little bit extra of your evening meals and then him taking that in for lunch? Could be stored in the fridge and then reheated in the microwave? Pasta salads, cous cous, sushi, cold pizza, chunky soups with bread?
Wrap ideas - ham and mayo and avocado. tuna and sweetcorn. chicken tikka and salad. roast beef. cheese salad?
Just a few ideas0 -
How about bagels with pate or soft cheese? Oatcakes & take a selection of things to put on them?
Has he tried the 'meal in a mug' cup a soup things?
Shame there isn't a toaster as he could have toasties with the toastie bags.
I like littlenikkis idea of left over tea but instead of having the same thing for lunch as the night before, could you freeze an assortment of single portions of left overs and vary it througout the week?0 -
I always bring in leftovers - risotto, chili, hearty soups and pastas with something always go down a treat.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000

Thank you for your replies. I think I need to start doing better meal plans and a better shopping list. And then hopefully I'll have a happier OH!LBM 04/10:j
