Cat Bath Alternatives

Wilkinsons do an own brand deodorising spray in a pump bottle which works very well (think it's about £2.99). I spray it on my hands then rub it into my dogs coat, she thinks we're playing but I know better.0

Glad he is finally home. When my cat is a bit grubby, I always wet his coat by splashing a bit of water on him or pouring a tiny bit on him and then that usually encourages him to wash himself.0

Well, he gave himself a shower last night. I have one of those two part food bowls - one side food, one side water. He was so excited by the food he almost knocked the bowl out of my hand as I was putting it down result: one wet kitty :rotfl:
He still pongs though!
@Firefox - no idea why he smells, although the cat box he came in has gone straight in the skip as that REEKS. I think it might be something to do with the box but he's got his vaccinations (not done whilst he was away ) and a healthcheck bookedProud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0 -
Be brave.
Shut all windows and doors, make sure heating's on.
I stick about 6 inches of warm water in the bath and leave the shower head running gently with baby warmth water at the end. Have the shampoo ready to go, plus large towels.
Grab cat by scruff, place in bath before he has chance to register that you've actually done this to him. I suggest shutting bathroom door with one foot as you sweep cat into water in one fluid movement. Blob a tiny bit of shampoo on cat's back. Continue to scruff as you rapidly rub back with water and soap.
Retrieve cat from mid launch, replace and do shoulders.
Make sure to rinse top half with shower on shoulders (not head) - the six inches of bathwater has probably dealt with bottom.
Scoop cat out in giant towels and prevent soggy escape. Do the best you can to soak up water.
Take photos of deeply offended cat. Post on MSE.
If it's cold you may need to blow dry a longhaired cat.
You may see the cat again at dinner time.
It's only a yearly event. He'll forget soon enough.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
 Quite frankly, that sounds SCARY! :eek:Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0

Cheap baby wipes wiped over cat will remove pong.0

Put cat in pillowcase with head sticking out. Secure case around neck (gently)
Dunk pillowcase in warm bathwater.
Not tried it....My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
