Cat Bath Alternatives

So I picked Dave the cat up on Friday after his extended stay with my Ex's former friend (:mad::mad:) and I'm absolutly over the moon to have the little troublemaker back.

Problem is that he absolutly stinks of urine, He desperatly needs a wash but I dont really fancy getting my arms torn to ribbons by giving him a bath or a shower. So any suggestions for alternative things to do?

I have read that giving him a dusting with cornflour might do the trick but I find that a little hard to swallow....

Aside from the niff though he's come back flea free, healthy and cheeky as ever so I'm counting my blessings :D

I do bath my kitty sometimes. He doesn't mind too much. He likes the water tepid and I don't get it near his face... just enough to wash his paws, bum, under arms and tummy.

Why not try some grooming wipes to start off with?

From the moment he fell in the bath at about 3 months old he's been petrified of them, so getting him into one really wont be happening......

We are quite lucky in that one of our cats will let us wash him (in fact he quite likes the bath) however the other ones would have your arm off! The dry shampoo is a good option. When we rescued our long hair boy he needed to go to the vet to be sedated to get his coat sorted initially.

Why not just get a face cloth and wet it, not soaking wet , but wet enough to rub him down and just give him a brisk rub daily until the smell goes way. Its a bit like the cat grooming himself really.
