Thats one of the hardest bits I found suffering from PND-feeling so desperately isolated but then when offered the chance to maybe actually go out, you feel so worthless/apathetic/scared you never actually GO and then it gets worse!

I do really wish I could come round, we could take ickle blue eyes to the park and watch him toddle about while we shoot the shoite. Perhaps a *smidgen* of chocolate would be consumed as well *gets the family size Galaxy out of the secret hiding place that was there for just such an emergency*

Luc - The going it alone idea is fab - would give you something to focus on for now, would should employers that you've kept your hand in (should you ever decide to go work for someone else) and best of all you can make it work around childcare/DH if you need to.

:( my friend just called, her nephew has just been given the news that they can't save his sight....he's been blind in one eye from a childhood illness but was envolved in a sporting accident last week and got a broken hockey stick in the good eye....it's cracked his retina. He broke his neck 3 years ago and spent months recovering from that after being told he'd never walk again.....just got himself back on his feet and back into his last year of law at uni and now this.

Owch Pooky, that's horrible. I lost my left eye to cancer aged three and I'm so protective of my right eye honestly, it scares me so much!

Isn't it funny how you seem to enjoy your job more when you have started applying for other jobs.

The best feeling is when you have just been given a date to start your new job but you havn't yet told your current employers.:D

    SRM,
One of my childhood friends (a year younger than me) is battling breast cancer right now

    http://blog.en.chatelaine.com/category/living-with-breast-cancer/

And this is her story that she is writing in one of Canada's top womens magazines...I had to stop reading it recently because she is not well at all and has a daughter that is 3-its so heartbreaking to have to watch someone go thru the pain. Has she lost her hair? I used to do makeovers at hospitals for ladies that are going thru chemo-if she would like any help or anything, let me know-I would be more than happy to help (in any small way) she is blessed to have you x
