Vodafone scam or genuine?

Hi guys,

I don't think this is a scam at all, even if you provided your correct date of birth at the point of sale the adviser may have entered it wrongly hence the discrepancy and Vodafone would need to see your birth certificate to prove the information they hold is correct.

You can call Vodafone customer services on 08700 70 191 and ask what date of birth they hold for you, they may also have a record of the email that was sent to you. The 50 days upgrade window is correct so I would say the email is genuine however if in doubt better to give them a call.

I realise that this is a little while ago and so you've probably already had this resolved. I just wanted to jump on - just in case

This does sound genuine to me if the details on your account don't match what you put in your email.

I'd also just like to clarify that you can upgrade anytime in the last 70 days of your account and you can contact us by calling 191 from your mobile or 08700700191 alternatively.

I can check this for you if you let me know the reference number on the email you received? If you don't have it anymore I can check it for you if you email from here with WRT135 in the subject line. Make sure when you email you include a link to this thread and your username.
