Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Hi everyone
Tixy - think I agree with you on the new Doctor Who, didn't think anyone could replace David Tennant, but quite impressed with this evening's performance. I loved the angels, thought that was a brilliant episode.
Fingers crossed you get some more chocolate tomorrow - are you getting a day off from decorating:eek:.
Carol - shame about the ferrari and the lottery win but, on the positive side, it gives you something to aim for :)
3Dogs - hope the ebaying is going well:)
emily - hi and hope you're OK, good to see you again:)
niddy - very impressed you've been behaving yourself today:rotfl:

And a big hello :wave:and welcome to Kiay. Yes, you are in the right place - think we're all pretty much in the same situation as you.
First step I would think is start a new thread and post your SOA (statement of affairs, basically your incomings and outgoings). If you don't know how to do this, start a new thread and someone more technically-minded than me will post you a link for the SOA template. You'll get lots of advice on any cutbacks you can make in your budget once you've posted this. Second step is have a look at the old style board - there are loads of hints and tips there for living on a lower budget. Sounds as though you're making every effort to pay your debts off, 5 jobs:eek:, so hopefully the lovely peeps on here can help you to get there sooner. Good luck.:)
If you'd like to come and help us bump this thread and just exchange general nonsense with us, please feel free to - we always welcome anyone new on here.

Tixy - love the idea of the trolls getting bubonic plague:rotfl:

A goodnight bump from me too.

Welcome Kiay to MSE and the DFW board. 5 jobs between you:eek:and 3 children, I'm shattered thinking about that, never mind actually putting it into practice.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, weather rubbish here, but busy reorganising the house and doing spring cleaning, good for taking ones mind off things.

Horace, I hope you are feeling better, Numpty, Hope your enjoyed your trip, Tixy, did you chose a colour for your wall? Spoon, thanks for thinking about me - very kind of you.

Sorry if I forgot anyone, brain like a sieve.

Enjoy your Easter Sunday, I didn't get any eggs, I'm on a diet, I hate those mirrors in changing rooms and not to mention the lighting:eek:It must have been a man who designed the lighting, not all flattering.

    Sleep well.
