what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

Hello :wave: and welcome to any newbies and lurkers out there thinking about posting. There are loads of friendly people on here ready and willing to give you lots of good advice and help. Please read the message above and try to ignore any harmful or hurtful posts. Trolls feed on attention, if you ignore them, the usually get bored and go away.

Afternoon all

Sorry for the late appearance - I have been doing kitchen related things - including removing a cupboard, painting more undercoat and and supervising some plaster and filler repairs. So in theory the proper painting starts tomorrow. Note I said in theory.

I seem to have forgotten about the easter egg bit of easter, which means nipping to the supermarket today or tomorrow. Sigh - I suppose it will be stupidly busy both days - what is it with people stocking up like crazy for Easter??

I see its gone 3pm so I suppose I best go hunt down some lunch.

I agree about everyone "stocking up" for Easter - the flamin' shops are only closed for one day - are we all going to starve on one day?:mad:

Horace, I am waggling my finger at you! Now get that chest x-rayed! If nothing else it'll maybe stop the doc trying to fill you full of antibiotics you can't have!

I'm about to head out, but questioning whether it's agood idea. It's my friend's birthday andhe has been in the pub since 1pm! I may not have the patience. But neither do I have a pressie so it might work in my favour (i.e. I can pretend I gave him a pressie and he's just forgotten

)

Niddy, you may just have been promoted to Godlike status on another thread (re pm you received). Rest assured we will not let it go to your head here

Hi folks ... firstly my thanks to Wol for posting that I was still about but busy on something - yep, don't even have time to lurk, but I hope what I am doing will be of benefit to a lot of people - fingers crossed, it's early days and I will not be able to contribute any "bumps" for a while.

I am not religious, but have a strong respect for those of all faiths, and thought this photo (taken from on top of a hill near where I live) carries a message ...

Never lose hope ... never!
