You mean the one where Sunderland got slaughtered? (Oops, me and my big mouth!) Round our way we have a mix of Sunderland, Newcastle and Middlesbrough fans, so when asked who we support we always say we prefer rugby, it's safer!

Nic - you have discovered Sod's second law of technology - if in doubt use a bit of brute force and ignorance. The first law is, of course, try switching it off then on again.

Tixy - you have been a busy little bear! My OH astounded me today by suggesting we pile in and muck out the spare room in prep for guests at Easter - consequently I is orf to the tip tomorrow with a carfull of carp. After the sort-out OH crashed out for a nap before lunch, which of course I set to and cooked - roast chicken followed by home made rice pud.

Are you speaking a foreign language?

Nargle, I use the rugby too. By far the safest option in Glasgow I find :D.

Tixy, what's next on the kitchen agenda? I'm still at the dreaming stage :p.

SS & nic - sorry about that - a Mackem is a Sunderland FC football supporter and a Magpie supports Newcastle - and Liverpool thrashed Sunderland today - sob - sob - not unexpectedly of course :rotfl: :rotfl:

When you come from Newcastle you are supposed to follow Newcastle United and vise versa in Sunderland ........... so we go against the grain ;)

Hope everyone OK - what course is it Numpty? - from the thread you seem to do a lot of them :D

We have done very little this afternoon - but I have been on web most of the time - surveys, clicks and reading threads, etc

Thanks for clearing that up 3Dogs. Bad luck on the result though!

I'm ignoring my email inbox. There's hundreds of surveys for my to be screened out of, but I can't face them tonight.

Watching Restoration Man on Channel 4+1 instead.

I'm feeling confused by the clocks going forward as things aren't on when I expect them to be! Even though all my clocks have been changed. Brain just hasn't caught up yet! :rotfl:

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Anyone new or old:D
We will try to help, and support you if you have troubles with your debts (and otherthings ), if you get a nasty git on your thread we'll deal with them aswell
