Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
Anyone new or old:D
We will try to help, and support you if you have troubles with your debts (and otherthings ), if you get a nasty git on your thread we'll deal with them aswell
:A
I second that, Mr Monkey (just a reminder for all newcomers out there - you are not alone!!!):DOne life - your life - live it!0 -
I do follow football but my team have spent a number of years languishing in too low a league for me to be concerned with liverpool v sunderland results! Currently they are doing their best to throw away the brilliant form they have shown all year and possibly miss out on a promotion spot so they can spend yet another year playing against minion clubs.
???? Would that have anything to do with a forest TixyMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Mmmmmmmm smells good but my diet gave me porridge, mullerlight and fresh fruit topping - still very good but does not have that bacon smell to it .....
Solvent/Nic/3Dogs - our hairdresser told us once that people from Sunderland were called Mackems because they begrudged paying out good money in shops for things they could make at home - "Ah can mack that!"
I like that!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: mind you it makes Mackems sound Scottish to me (oops) Mackems are actually the people from Sunderland but the footie fans are called that as well - it does originate from their accent so your suggestion sounds good to me - and it is very good MSE

Have a good day everyone. Unless you are a troll, in which case may the fleas from a thousand camels crawl up your legs and infest your ar....mpits.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: a good thought to start my day on - yes it is not long since I got up - but now I have had my porridge and tea I am ready for the rest of the day :j :j

I did that !!!!!! but that was back in 1994'ish !!!! I did level 1 & 2 and most of level 3 before I left
Before that hardly knew how to open a computer never mind use one - I didn't have one at home but soon did after the course and the rest is history ............................
It did however lead to a part-time job for me which lasted about 6/7 years until I could not manage it any more due to my health
And the group was evenly split men and women - it included book-keeping too which is a good skill to have ...
Off for my shower now before we go to our Slimming World class - I've been good this week so fingers crossed :beer:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

And what is wrong with being a secretary Numpty? eh..what..?? Business Administration covers a multitude of sins and you could end up being an accounts clerk or something else.
Afternoon all..from a poorly and feeling very sorry for herself Horace..got up at 11am and havent done much all day other than phone the docs to get an appointment for tomorrow:D Need to go out on Wednesday for a breakfast meeting and a seminar as I have booked and paid for this so don't want to miss it.
Anyway, how is everybody today? how are the chickiepoodles? the 60's diner etc. etc.0 -

I second what 3Dogs said, Numpty, that's a good course. You could do all sorts of things with that qualification, not just be a secretary - although there's nothing wrong with being a secretary, I was one for many years:). Well done for getting on the course:beer:
Good luck at Slimming World, 3Dogs (just as well you didn't have the bacon sandwich this morning then:).
Hi Horace - sorry you're still feeling carpy:(, hope doc sorts you out tomorrow x I'm fine thanks, busy bee today (well, it keeps me out of mischief:rotfl:)The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time
