I had been trying to sort car insurance on line, ! Warning get quotes and act a month before it’s due. The difference in quotes between the beginning of the month and end averaged £50.00. Anyway I didn’t get my head down until midnight, then up at 3.

Just be careful though how and with whom you obtain quotations as some actually perform various credit searches, such as confused.com - now they should be performing Unrecorded Enquiries (i.e. only you see them) BUT some are coming up as credit searches, too many of those and it will affect any credit applications you may have/want.

    Just a friendly heads-up ;)
This weekend I had Son Jon the Con working with me, Now Jon is my youngest stepson, who thinks he’s Jack the Lad but isn’t. He also Likes Niddy’s form of herbal tobacco, so hard graft is (was) alien to him. It also came as a shock to discover that 3 o’clock happens twice a day.

I'm not a jack the lad though, am a good boy really! I like herbs cos it's ermm, relaxing! :rotfl: :rotfl:

    As for there being 2 x 3 o'clocks in a day - !!!!!!? Is there really? :rotfl:

Glad to see you're keeping well, as Numpty said via PM to me - when you're up our neck of the woods, we'll have to meet and go on a mini session - Niddy promises to keep the hebs at home (well, a half promise ok) ;);)

Hi , looking for advice if anyone can help. My dog has peed on a rug (not her fault, she had an upset belly at the time). I have tried vanish carpet shampoo which wasn't effective. Apart from throwing the rug out, any other ideas?

My dog is now old (15) and he leaks from time to time, we find this is the best product to use: http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/household-products/vanish-carpet-shampoo/

    Morning Everyone

Sorry haven't been around over the weekend but been very busy. Looks like there's a lot of catching up to do! I am off down to Hampshire for a few days today so won't be around 'til the weekend but I'll try and sneak on if I can get to a PC to give an occasional bump of just to say a quick Hi. Hope you all have a good week.:)

    Happy Trollzapping!

Time for another one of these....

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one of the very few trolls or more frequent spammers that come our way.

Please join in and bump Fred to page one if he is found lost and wandering - Thank you :A
