Evening Al
Tixy does not do hangovers, in bed around 3am, awake by 7.30 and out the house by 9am :T Life is too short for hangovers.
Have been out visiting friends then at the folks today, have just finished my second bowl of strawberries. Very tasty even if they were shop bought. Have also checked on my strawberry bed which is at the folks and gets looked after for me (all I have to do is eat the strawberries :rotfl:). Looks like its going to be a late crop this year though
Thanks for the feedback on the worktop. I am torn as I prefer the look of gloss but know that I would be better with matt.
Hope everyone has had a good extended weekend.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -

Landed at Church Fenton for refueling, heard a rumour niddy was shot down by AAA from a troll battery crossing the channell. RAF Mountain rescue has been searching the local hills. Then guess what the damm chap walks back in to the thread H.Q. cool as a cucumber, :j says he'd only nipped out for a pint of Sam Smiths!. C.O says he doesnt know wether to cashier him for being A.W.O.L. or promote him.
Best wishes niddy - welcome home.

Hi Handyman - are you near Yeovilleton? We went there a while back to the Fleet Air Arm Museum - great place - hubbie got to sit in Humphrey the helicopter (from Falklands) and he thought it was wonderful - that shows how long ago it was 'cause it was just after the Falklands War - of and when we were outside, some Harriers took off and hovered and landed again - first time we had seen them - it was like a private show
When we lived 'up North' near Newcastle, we used to go down to the West Country loads, mainly Portloe in Cornwall where hubbie used to get seasick often (spending too much time in the Ship Inn !!!), and after we moved down here we went to St Mellion (Saltash) for a few years as we had a timeshare there - used to take about 40 people down for a golfing holiday not all in the same lodge - we did rent extra ones for them - ah those were the days when we had money or rather when we used to spend money we did not haveMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Hi 3Dogs, no not realy it was just a good place to land the old Tiger Moth before she fell out the sky. I know what you mean Yeovilleton Mueseum is a great day out, as is the tank mueseum at Bovington. My all time fav is Duxford which is your part of the world. The American hanger with the B52 suspended from the roof is amazing:T. In my day I have been on detachment to Marhan, Colltishall, Honiton, Lakenheath (yanks) which are all in your part of the world. At one time detached to Leeming nights out were in Middlesborough. I have been in trouble spots which were safer allthough I can vouch for the natives being friendly.

Handyman - Yeovilleton was as good a place to land as any other!
It's funny we've been to Yeovilleton, Hendon and even the Flying Boat Museum at Foyle on the Shannon estuary but have never been to Duxford which is so close to us - never mind we have only been down this part of the world for 25 years so time yet!!!
As for Middlesbrough - yes that's rough, but so is Newcastle - most people are friendly up there but they just like their beer a bit too much (not too much wrong with that mind)
Well I'm off to click click click my way to a fortune :beer:Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12

ahhhh nicca... cute:D:D:D bet you can't wait to puppy sitting duties
3Dogs we are safe to be left alone (at least for a little while as long as there are no matches around:rotfl::rotfl:). Fred was well taken care of this afternoon even though we were gossiping about pink fluffy handcuffs and the policeman locked in the wardrobe on the NSD thread.
Well done on the weight loss, that is fantastic:T, well deserved chocolate and whisky this evening:D. Happy clicking!
Tixy - you must have the constitution of an ox (mind you so did I when I was your age:(). Hope you had a good night out and enjoyed your Bank Holiday - see you've joined the NSD thread:T - trollzappers are joining one by one now:D
Re the worktop - if you're really careful with it you may be OK with gloss - it looks lovely but it does show every mark unfortunately:(
Have a lovely hols Numpty:T
Hi handyman - love your stories:D:D
Hi to niddy - welcome back - we missed you:DThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

I want one, oh luverly little sooty coloured andrex dogs.
But mid you my yellow lab at 3 months old ate a £1,500 flat packed kitchen (chewed a corner of each box before assembly) ate razor blades, chewed open dog food tins, all with no damage. When she was 18 months old My Mum and Sis took her to the vets to be spayed. They asked on my behalf that while she was asleep they X-Ray her to see if she had any foriegn bodies. The Vet said what am I looking for, My mum said my glasses and false teeth :D, and no if you find them I dont want them back. Sis told the Vet do the X-Ray before you put your finger inside:eek:.
Needless to say the vet didnt find a thing, I often wonder if someone in the local park found a short sighted, smiling dog poo!:rotfl:
Would I have another Lab Pup, You Bet Ya. I'm jealous, have fun and enjoy.
Best wishes handyman123.
