Ooo 'eck... near the bottom of the page already! Busy, busy, busy!

I'm am almost drooling with excitement! I have my first request for a clothes swap on the site I put my first lot of photos. She has tons of lovely stuff that looks way nicer than mine! And newer!

If I never make any money, but I can swap clothes to my hearts content with the entire world, then I'll be a happy girl :D (She even has dresses suitable for a wedding! I might have a great excuse for procrastinating making my own dress :p)

    Afternoon all

Oooh you are making me jealous Nargle - I'd love to be green fingered and have a veg patch. Well I mean I like to think I want a vegetable patch, but to be honest its all I can manage to keep a few house plants barely alive. One of these days I'll do it but in the meantime I just manage to get by with other people's homegrown veg :D

Spoon - about the ebaying lark - I'll join you in thinking about doing it. Not promising I'll get much further :o

    Catch you later troll busters

    Hi everyone
I'm jealous too Nargle... would like to grow some vegetables but my garden is completely waterlogged most of the time (we live close to a very peaty area) - I might manage a paddy field... I do grow tomatoes in containers though and I'm thinking about trying something else this year as well. Can't grow anything like salad leaves unfortunately as we have too many slugs and snails which have developed a resistance to all known treatments:mad:

Tixy - I've sorted out a couple of items to ebay today... haven't got any further than that though:o

nicca - ooh, clothes swap site sounds exciting

Hi 3Dogs and emily, hope you're both OK.

We seem to have the all ladies trollzapping team back again (apart from niddy, but he's our nightwatchman) - let's go zap some trolls, girls:D

Spoon - I had a friend who did salad leaves in a couple of hanging baskets to keep the slugs away - don't know if you could do that?

I tend to pick salad from my Mom's patch in the evening on my way home from work - any slugs and snails get thrown in the ducks direction - they love it!!

The clothes swap site sounds more my sort of thing than ebay, might sign up and have a look around.

Only seen spammers to zap today Spoon, no trolls luckily.

Hi Tixy - I tried salad leaves in a hanging basket a couple of years ago - managed to get about one meal's worth before the bloomin' snails/slugs found them... all that was left were the roots. We have bionic slugs and snails - that's why I would love a couple of chickens;). Good idea though, might try it again this year, there are some new ring type things on the market now to keep them away from baskets, will go and investigate at the weekend. Thanks:A

    Great zapping skills..

Lovely and sunny here still, but very cold..:(

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

Welcome to the debt free wannabe board. A great place for seeking advice and inspiration and support on getting out of debt. Please read the above in case you come across one the very few trolls or more frequent spammers we sometimes attract.
