Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes

So NEWBIES take note and TROLLS beware
    :o 2010 - year of the troll :o

Good afternoon all, have been a busy little Nargle today - ironing, making cakes, planting runner bean seeds, cleaning the oven from the roast lamb we had yesterday (OH working today so Sunday lunch became Saturday roast dinner).....now catching up on the gossip on here. Now going to have a little wander around the threads and see what's cooking in DFW land - see you all later.

At car boot this morning where I got fruit & veg, tea bags and we had a couple of cuppas -the lovely day brought out lots of stalls and lots of people but not a good day for the stallholders - none of our mates were taking much money - we called at A*di on way home for a couple of bits we can only get from them then home for cooked breakfast. MMMMMmmmmm that's after I did our eggs in the Halogen Oven instead of the microwave which broke down as I was using it !! Tip - Halogen Ovens are great but not good for cooking eggs:mad:

After a bit looking round the site, I took dogs out for a walk in the sunshine - we all enjoyed that :D actually I only take 2 dogs for walks - the elderley one Bonnie stays at home and DH lets her out - sometimes all she does is walk down the front path, sniff the air, and walk straight back up the path again - she then qualifies for a chewie with the other 2 after their walk ;)

Going to chop up some melon, pineapple, grapefruit & kiwi now and then get down to eBying :A

You're right, Numpty, it was a good one, good result too I reckon:D:D.

I've got some dog chews if you'd like one - beef flavour OK?

Nargle and 3Dogs - you're making me tired reading your posts - busy bees as usual:D.

Hi Carol, hope you're OK today

Tixy - hope you haven't disappeared under a ton of paint or, worse, painted yourself to the kitchen wall;).

niddy - hope you're still awake and on troll duty.

Off for a little wander around to see what everyone's up to.

    Back later
