Yep quite quiet today - it must be because niddy isn't around ;)

The radiator will be white so I guess I could paint it with either gloss or radiator paint then - but no heating for 2 days  Tixy is a bear that likes to stay warm.

    Oh and Spoon
    - i actually have an eeyore that talks as well (doesn't bounce though of course!)

    Hi Tixy
You really need the radiator to be cool before painting it or the paint will bubble off - maybe leave it until the weather is warmer?

Oooh, poor niddy... mind you, he does make a lot of noise:rotfl:

    Eeyore bouncing, now there's a thought:rotfl:

Niddy... Glasgow city centre pubs with beer gardens...

http://www.sloansglasgow.com/ Argyle Street, near the Argyle Arcade (where all the jewellry stores are) I think it's between 2 phone shops (vodafone... can't remember the other)

The Lab - hidden little place just off Bucannan Street. Take a left up the lane beside Office Shoes (no loitering in the shoes shop now!) and it'll be there on your left. Dunno what it's like of an evening, but usually mobbed of a weekend afternoon (it does food too). Even does a decent pint of Tennants! I was trying to argue with the bar man that I couldn't possibly be drinking Tennants, it tasted too nice :o:D. He was right all along though!

They're the two I keep coming back to as the rest I can think of are horribly studenty! I'm guessing that's not really what you're after!

The Merchant City is good if the weather isn't great for sitting outside, 'cos it's got a pretend outside bit that's inside! It also has the Beer Cafe, which is great!

The Beer Halle on Gordon Street is also good (but I don't think it has a beer garden)...

And there are some at the "bad" side of Argyle Street... but I have a funny feeling I shouldn't send you to pubs that end of town. I think that might be leading a lamb to slaughter!

There are a couple I can visualise but their names are currently escaping me...

WEST on Glasgow Green is also good, but maybe further than you'd want to roam... http://www.westbeer.com/

Bumpasaurus's are very friendly 3Dogs, look at his toothy grin! You can say what ever you want and he'll jump up and down, happily bumping you to the top.

Mind you, I probably wouldn't leave your dogs alone with him!

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes

Hello All. Please take a couple of minutes to read Pania's message above. If you are new and in need of advice you'll find DFW is a great place. If you come across the odd stray troll that occasional wanders in, please don't be put off, just report them to abuse as per the above instructions.:D
