Today I have had exactly the same reply to a vehicle advertised on Auto Trader, luckily I went online to check it out. They are currently in communication with me via email, so I have sent them a reply with the following
"There isn't a Yahoo Finance service that deals with payments, the only Yahoo Finance that is legitimate is one that offers tracking of business shares and stocks.
Please tell me more about the finance you are using??"
Not surprisingly, they have not replied.

I still got the NISSAN Qashqai 1.5 for sale at the price of £2900. The car is in excellent condition, garage kept and accident free. The mileage is real and I never had any problems with the engine. The car looks and works just perfect. I bought it from UK and it is still registered here. We live in the Northern part of United Kingdom, in a beautiful sea-side city called Thurso.
We are a nice couple of pensioners (I have 64 and my beloved wife is 63 years old) and don't use the car so often. We love to spend our time on the road but now we use to travel by plane, so a car is no more useful for us. Also we sold our house and bought a big farm here in Thurso. If you are really interested we are ready to make a trip to England and meet you personally. You can take the car for a test-drive and any kind of inspection.
Please tell us where do you live? I am sure that we will find a nice city in England to arrange a meeting, a region acceptable for us and for you in the same time. We have the faith that this can be a good deal!

this is a scam it is listed on several forums.
they then have sob story about there 63 yr old beloved wife is sick and if you wire a deposit to them they will have the car brought to your home and when you checked it over you can pay remaining amount.
both scams i found are on the auto trader so beware.

I am also surprised anyone would fall for it, these cars usually stand out a mile because they're just stupidly cheap for what they apparently are and there's so many parts that should set alarm bells ringing immediately.

I do wonder how many people are behind this scam given it's been on the go a while, I can't see it would take long to fire back that script they use each time and the pay off is obviously massive for the few it works on. Autotrader didn't seem to be very quick at taking this type of ad down although I don't know if they're any better these days. I was also wondering if there were grounds to have that fake Yahoo domain they are using taken down as it's clearly not Yahoo while pretending to be and it's being used for fraudulent purposes. I wonder what you would get if you did mail that 'safe' Yahoo address? I also wonder why they've moved to Yahoo as the previous eBay part of the scam sounded more credible although only slightly.

You only have to look at the price of the car to see it is a scam at £4000,look on Autorader its worth nearly double that price
Just remember any deal that looks too good to be true is a scam,and also Spain is full of Con artists

In response to an advert for a fantastically cheap Touareg on Gumtree, just this morning my wife received the email as below from a "Lisa Baig".

Same wording as the other emails, same old con!
