Found out he was only 53 which is only a year older than my Dad :(

Well tonight is my last shift until Thurs night :j These 4 have gone quite quickly but I'm working with a friend so that helps (and coming on here & watching DVDs when it's quieter:shhh: )

OH took my car today instead of swapping them over on the drive, came home and said it's making a funny noise  So I'll have to go to the garage on Monday and see if they can take a look. Bluddy car does it not appreciate how much I've spent on it this month already!!

    Hope everyone else is ok
    xx

So sorry to hear about your colleague, similar thing happened to me a few weeks ago, it was actually my colleagues husband that died but I'm so close to her that it affected me really badly. Hugs to you.

And also hugs about the car, I feel we are twins, my car passed away yesterday and is currently sat down the road outside the garage waiting to be looked at tomorrow, have no money to pay the bloke at the moment :undecided

Hope you have a better week xx

  • Thanks ladies :)

Car is more annoying cos I love him, OH says if things get to the point where they're constantly going wrong then I'll have to think about getting rid but I don't think I want to I know it's not very mse but I keep telling myself that if I sold him with problems I'd get a lot less for him. I'd already decided the other month I'd like to keep him til he dies properly.

Will have to go and see the garage when I've showered & got dressed.

Jo I hope yours isn't going to cost a lot to fix *crosses fingers*

Kel my grandad is 87 this year, has just been cleared after having bowel & throat cancer and has a better social life than me
:D He did give us a scare when he was diagnosed the other year, he's the sort of person you imagine will always be there.
Hopefully yours will be around for a long time :)

I'm maybe joining weight watchers with Mum tomorrow, depends if I'll have to pay for the weeks I can't go to when I'm working?!?

    Stuff to do today
    • Go to garage
    • Hoover
    • Clean bathroom
    • Washing & drying
    • Shopping list
    • Post ebay item
    Have a good day :)
    xx

    Morning!

Bless your grandad, i'm pleased that he's been cleared. Must have been stressful for you guys. Loving that he has a better social life than you :) My grandad was the same, always on the phone to me asking why I wasn't out enjoying myself - bless him - a real big spirit of life :D. Sadly he passed away coming up 2 years ago in July :(.

Understand your car dilemma, I get attached to my cars too - mine blew up on OH back last year and I lost a lot of money from it and was far too expensive to buy a new one. Luckily little sis was off travelling Feb this year so I waited until they left and now have the use of her car which infact was my old car - nothing like keeping it in the family eh ;)

Good luck with your to-do-list today - have a good one! xx

Great about your Grandad Moose! My Grandad was diagnosed with a rare leukemia 4 years ago but has been clear for 2 years now thankfully! It was rare due to the fact that it was a type that was normally found in children and not adults!!

My Grandad is going to be giving me away when i get married!! :D I didn't fancy my Dad doing it....plus with the new plans my Dad wouldn't pay to go abroad to come anyway!

    Poor Car!!!!!! :(

Good luck is you go with WW. I am just cutting down on snacks really. Still eating the same kind of meals but slightly smaller portions and trying to exercise more. Hopefully it will go well before i have to start thinking of looking at dresses!!

I would def recommend weight watchers, as long as you are determined to stick to it, it really does work. If you pay week by week then you don't pay for the weeks you dont go, but I think they get funny with people who don't turn up and they allow you 4 holiday weeks a year or something?

I do the monthly pass though because you get access to all of their internet stuff which I find so useful. It also works out cheaper if you are going every week as it's £17.95 for the month. Also, with the monthly pass you can go to another local meeting instead of your regular one if you can't make it at the usual time.

I sound like I work for them or something!! :rotfl:
    2019 will be my year!!
  • Thanks Kayleigh I'll look into the monthly pass as the town I work in has meetings on a different day :)

Mum's always done well when she's been so she's keen to go again, & when she heard I wanted to lose weight asked if I'd go too.

Just want to say a HUGE congratulations to Major Phil Packer for completing the marathon in 26 hours - beating his record by 13 days!!

The garage got me to drop it off this afternoon & they've brought it back while we were out shopping. Will go there tomorrow to see if he thinks there's anything wrong.

Will put washing in the dryer later on, it's annoying that on a gorgeous day like today it has to go in the tumble. Can't wait til we have a garden.

Forgot to do a shopping list but I think I got most things we needed.

Think I'm gonna eat some choc before I start WW tomorrow :rotfl:

    I'm not really here; I'm sleep-typing!

I lost your diary for ages! Found it again now though (obviously). Will catch up properly when it's not silly o'clock :D

(Still holding off on the blackberry, but do like the CEX site you told me about).

  • Goooooood morning :D
I need to get some motivation in me today, need to get dressed and walk round to the garage.
Having my hair cut at 11 so I need to move by half 10 really.

If the sun stays out I think I'll go for a walk or a bike ride this afternoon :)

Don't really have a list for today but the rabbit hutch needs cleaning out.

    xx
