Still trying to get through the washing of clothes at least all the beds are done. I was out on the drying green and DD was handing me the pegs
SHE'S A PEG MATCHER
Really have I taught her nothing about rainbow pegs. Me thinks that some flyladies have been at the brainwashing again!
Off for a HHC if anyone is joining me I need to do something with my livingroom.

Bit of a problem, would like your input. DS and his friend (female actually but not a GF who stayed over) asked me to go and get them some drink last night, which I refused.
I have just been in his room and found two little glasses of mine, not big enough for 'pop' and, in the bin an almost empty soda water bottle. I have sniffed the bottle and it clearly contained - well NOT soda water. The only stuff I have in the house is gin and it's not that. So she brought some drink, presumably from home. Of course the evidence is NOT hidden.
If I flip I will drive this behaviour underground...tbh I would rather know what is going on (albeit after the event:o) than encourage subterfuge and deception (not that I think DS is that capable of subterfuge and deception - well not until he learns to wash up glasses and hide evidence and the washing up would set alarm bells ringing).;)
Thoughts ladies?
Your right Valli. If you flip it will probably make things worse. I think your DS is about the same age as my youngest boy 15?
All I can say to you is that in my experience with three teenagers all at once.( God help me I don't know how I'm still sane :rotfl:) If ever I've caught any of them doing something that they shouldn't have been I've kind of slipped it into a conversation in a joking but serious kind of way. IYSWIM?
So I suppose if I found myself in your situation I would say something along the lines of - I found some washing up in your bedroom this morning. Oh and that stuff in the soda water bottle smelt a bit strange !! And then he'd get 'the look'!!
Your DS knows you well enough to know, that you now know what he may or may not have been up to.
There's nothing we can do to stop them from experimenting with anything. I think if they're going to try whatever then they will.
We just have to try and get the balance right in getting them to understand that it's not acceptable behaviour.
My mother was very hard on me. I was never allowed to have sleepovers or stay at a friends. Or even have friends round to tea. Eventually I rebelled big, big time. I suppose because of that I tend to be quite easy going on my lot. But having said that they all know when they have overstepped the mark and are brought back into line quick smart.
All kids need boundaries. But I think when they are teenagers they need and want them more.

Hello lovelies!
Valli I'd ask him outright what was in the bottle, and if he could possibly at least tell me if he was going to have a drink, none of this doing it in secret malarky and to be upfront, maybe make a little deal with him, that he can drink in your house and only your house as long as it's sensible and isn't doing it behind your back. 16 is an age where they will be wanting to drink, I did and all my kids (not littley lol) had their first drink at 15/16, I was ok with it as long as they were upfront and not getting plastered. and strictly NO spirits!
Happy Birthday Jassa :bdaycake: have a lovely day! x
I've been busy, emptied the dining room, chucked out the falling to bits pc desk, moved pc and all the wires onto unused table for the time being as I'm getting SIL's laptop next month for nowt :T so everything been hoovered and I've chucked out loads. yay!
Thoughts and hugs (except pigpenI know you don't do them) go to Sandy, tootsy, jinky pinks, Rosie, LL and piggers for you, if you excuse the pun, because you've had a pig of a week xxxxx if I've forgotten you take a hug anyways x
