I had a lovely day too.
DS was under instructions not to wake me up before 7. So he comes in at 6.15 asking to see my phone to check the time!!! But i was spoilt, i had a tea made (first ever one by DS) chocs, flowers, little candles, 1 hand made card and one shop bought. He went to so much effort!0 -
Nothing for me, second year running, from either of mine....same at Christmas and birthday too!
Sorry, hope you're not upset by this.
Same thing for my friend, she got a Christmas present last year but paid for it herself. Doesnt take much to get a card.If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything. - Mark TwainNappies and government ministers need to be changed frequently and for the same reason0 -
I had a lovely day....I've got six kids...two still living with me, and one grand daughter (2 months). I got cards from all my kids (except 1) :(and my grand daughter. I also got chocs, a lovely throw, and a mug.:D Lots of texts and phonecalls and messages on FB. ..So can't complain.
I feel sorry for all the Mums that didn't get cards or calls.....I know what If feels like 'cos it's happened to me too...:(..0 -
Well I think mother's day is a load of old nonsense and I won't be expecting my kids to buy anything for me when they're old enough to understand what the day is all about. I did get a card from each - most likely made at their school teacher's insistence. I called my own mum and sent her a gift voucher - more out of obligation because I know she'll sulk for a month if i don't get her anything.
Bah humbug and all that...0
