Foxy Communications???

For your information I have tried various telesales jobs working from home, advertized on here, jobcentre plus and jobsite but I do not like sellingWhy not get yourself a job!0
-
I start with foxy communications next week, got a web seminar on the Tuesday then start on Wed, it did seem like a genuine opportunity...but after reading this thread and people saying that you don't get paid etc I've been put off slightly. Has anyone worked for them and not had any problems?
thanks0 -
I take it you have worked for them Mr Oink and had problems?0
-
right..... i have been reading this site for some time now as i am currently working for foxy communications thus i have an obvious interest in what others have to say.... and i cannot wait for the replies of ooohhh loook she only has one post... well let me be honest, i have only signed up in order to reply to this thread as i feel it is all getting a little out of hand and i have no vested interest in promoting the company other than to relay my own experiences.
I am going to be completely honest here and detail everything good and bad and if any one wants to contact me please feel free to do so, as i for one would have appreciated an honest poster who has actually worked for this company and could give some realistic feedback rather than people who seem to delight in making this whole venture look like a scam upon commencing the postion.
RIGHT!!! so i started working for foxycommunications 3 months ago, i found the advert on CV writer and thought it looked good, a genuine work from home oppertunity, paid per hour plus bonus's. after months of looking for genuine oppertunities over the internet and constatly being dissapointed with scams. so i called up and signed up through the agency and Adam Palin.
the work in general can be very boring as you are constatly repeating yourself hour after hour and although the survey script does change when you speak to person after person it can become difficult to concentrate.... that being said many telesales/ survey jobs are so its really what you make of it and you have to just keep going, some days are good some days are bad just like any other job.
I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN PAID, EVERY SINGLE WEEK, i cannot stress this enough i have never had a problem with pay apart from when there was a mix up with my bank details but that was due to my dodgy handwriting and no fault of the agencies in the first week, Adam palin has been lovely and always on hand to help and reassure.
you can feel a little isolated as your working from home and unless you have any questions to ask or something is amiss you will just receive your daily report, which lists surveys per hour and a point scoreing system.
in response to the surveys being spammers, people are asked questions about if they are interested in certain offers and if they are not then they wont receive the information on those products, why would the companies waste their time seding information on products to people who are not interested. some people do seem annoyed by the calls but they generally let you knopw that and put the phone down, as they are obviously free to do at any point. In reference to the previous poster quoting about Allied carpets, that was only on the survey for a week, and has subsequently gone, they obviously realised it was not working. And yes alot of the people you speak to are old, but most people of a younger generation are working during the day, so realistically it would be old people you will speak to, i would say it is a 50/50 ratio, and trust me old people can tell you very clearly if they are not interested in continuing.... and do not hesitate to do so. i have never had to drag an old person unwittingly through a survey they have not wanted to complete as they have told me in no uncertain terms they do not wish to contunue or put the phone dow, which is one of things you have to expect in this line of work.
so to summerise.... yes it can be a bit boring, and yes some people get annoyed by the questions, but on the plus side you have more freedom, you can work from home, you can get a decent salery plus bonus, and you have the support of having people to email to question anything you are not sure about.
this job is not for everyone, you need to have a strong backbone and a lot of determination as you do get a lot of rejection, but i have also spoken to some lovely people and had a real laugh so, swings and roundabouts!!!
what i find so suprising is why people like Mr Oink spend hours moaning about companies they have never worked for. If you are interested in unethical practices i am sure there are companies who would benifit far more from your investigations... although i do feel a career for watchdog could be your calling ;0
what i find bizare is that people question first time posters ... but hardly anyone is questioning Mr Oinks furtive attempts to make this whole operation look like a scam..... Lets be honest are huge companies such as EON and LOVE Film really going to associate themselves with scam artists??? and seriousloy why are you so bothered??? if its not for you then leave it!!!! surely you have better things to do with your time... i could understand if you were an employee scorned but seriously no one in their right mind would spend hours 'protecting people from working for so called scam artist' its just ludicrous.!!!
case rested, i am not posting this to negate any ones feelings as each persons experience of the company may differ, but for me it has been a good job, which has allowed me to earn a decent income... and yes it has its downsides... but on the whole i have had a positive experience!!!0 -
..... Lets be honest are huge companies such as EON and LOVE Film really going to associate themselves with scam artists???
Hardly a reassurance, with the likes of Affiliate programs on the internet, when anyone with a website can "associate" themselves with so called reputable companies , and theres probably a similar thing going on here. I doubt very much that Eon or Lovefilm's directors are losing sleep over how theyve made so many new customers, just happy that they have.0 -

What about Love Film Affiliate abuse spam:
{I won't detail the countless times it has come up in conversation and will, instead, post a charitable 'could be phoney' type of example}

so to clarify .... not only do you think these people are con artists but you also think they are making money for companies like love film and EON off their own back.... come on???? they do not affliate with them they are endorsing their products... would they really do this if there was no gain on their part... how do you think these people make their money....
i am not here to promote foxy comms. and i came across this thread when i was looking into the job as most people would on looking for new employment... no i do not claim to have psychic powers, nor have i been requested to post... i am doing it off my own back as i would have been annoyed if i had been interested in this position and turned it down on the back of what people who have never worked for them thought....
if i was endorsing them do you think i would have pointed out their bad points too... seriously!!! i'm just commenting and offering my honest oppinion as i have and am actually working for these guys and some people might want my oppinion.
Mr Oink you still have not answered my questions as to why you are so intent on bad mouthing this company... some of your alligations may be founded i couldnt possibly comment ... but all i know is that i do a job and i get paid for it.. and its not as bad as you are making out.... and i really cant understand why u invest so much time trying to prove otherwise!!! it just doesnt make sense!
if i had come on here and bad mouthed the company then i would have received a heroes welcome, but because i am relating a mostly positive experience i become suspicious.... seriously... i can understand if you yourself had not been paid then you would be annoyed but really..... they work for other companies seeing if people are interested in products .... they get money... they pay their staff..... whats the big problem.... in today's society we are constatly exposed to people promoting their companies and products.. does advertising= spamming/scamming??? it may not be to your taste but its a job, and shoot me for saying it but i quite like it0 -

I don't believe you.
What *other* jobs and money making ideas did you try? The site is *crammed* with them. Perhaps you like to explain why all the other options and jobs mentioned here were not for you and why? You've been quite verbose regarding Foxy, so please feel free to mention why nothing else was as good as working for this dodgy, bottom feeding phone spammer?0 -
"they do not affliate with them they are endorsing their products..."
Are you serious?
They are not endorsing. Anyone, including you or me, can fish for custom for these people. Its called affilite marketing.
Also you say would you really point out "their" bad points if you were trying to promote them. You didnt point out their bad points. You pointed out the bad aspects of telesales/telemarketing on a whole. All jobs have bad points [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]0
