  • I do know one thing.... Uniflex will not employ anyone until all the proper paperwork, NI numbers etc, etc are in place. I've found them to be excellent. Also the Foxy contract is very similar to this website of Martin's in helping people to save money and get the best deals available.

    Hi All,

I recently had a call from a Manchester firm called Uniflex Staffing acting on behalf of Foxy Communications. There is something amiss, there was no interview, no reference checks, no information requested about my right to work in the UK. The firm never even asked for information regarding my national insurance number. They just wanted me to start working ASAP.

Once again you had to do 24 hours of work before the agency would pay you and they never asked for my payment details either. Ask yourself why they never asked for any of the above and you will come to the same conclusion as I did.

When something tends to be too good to be true it usually is. Hope this helps.

So what is your connection with Foxy 'Frank Spencer'? I ask because you joined in March this year, have made 8 posts and they are all in this thread singing the praises of what appears to be a glorified phone spam company? Are *you* 'Foxy Communications' or are you speaking with their auspices?

After my web seminar, i recieved an email from uniflex telling me to register with Nsave, the payroll company. I followed the link and did this, the next day Nsave rang me and took NI and bank details. I dont see why you expect uniflex to have taken these details from you when you havent started work with them?
Also, i can confirm that the calls are not being charged to my line - i would know about it if they were. The dialler rings you, you pick up the phone, the calls come in.
As i said im not due to be paid yet so cant comment on that but really dont see a problem here? If FrankSpencer is something to do with Foxy, you can hardly blame him for not coming clean about it. Some people on here would burn you alive for trying to defend anything that might benefit you, whether it is legitimate or not. Of course, be cautious, but come on, I havent had to pay out for anything, and if i dont get paid, then it will simply be a case for HMRC no?

Oh and another thing, i have many a time been called up by an agency, told to be at an event the following evening and work silver service for the likes of sponsors at football matches and even the royal international polo. There was no time for interviews and reference checks, they took what i had on my cv as acceptable and that was that. Cant seea problem with that either.
Everyone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p

My main concerns with 'Foxy' (Aka 'DHW Marketing') is that it's been set up as a limited company just a few months ago, it's running on a cheap '1&1 Internet' type hosting package and appears to running out of a bedroom. Added to this is it *appears* to be involved in nuisance/spam/war dialling of consumers - something I (and many people) rather dislike. Hopefully they are set up to honour the TPS lists eh?

Naturally some people will have no problem taking a chance working for a set up like this, but it rings alarm bells with me. It's hardly an old established firm and exhibits common traits seen in sham marketing businesses that pop up, spam/cold call and then vanish with their liability limited. Does that mean those working for them will get paid? Maybe. Does it mean that what they are doing is legal/ethical - well, who knows.

This may be a legitimate business, but I would wonder why an anonomous new poster seems to be 'selling it', rather than coming clean like you would expect from a legitimate business. To me, if it looks bad, and smells bad, it's bad.

I am a bit worried about what you all have said. But I will keep an open mind about it and i'll post back here in a few days once i have heard from them.

You could not dream this up! A 'new' poster registered just now makes this their first post and decides to give it a try.... This really does look desperate and fishy now :-) I've just called my physic medium and she tells me to expect further posts like this and glowing praise.... LOL. I'm looking forward to blogging this one :-)

If a known respected poster with a couple of thousand posts did it, it may have some weight behind it.

This is nothing to do with 'an open mind' and more to do with nefarious self promotion of what appears to be a questionable (and I'm being charitable with that) business looking to use people as mules to handle irate, war dialled consumers.

    ADDING TO THIS:
uniflex may well be known well in Sweeden, but they appear to have *5* jobs on their UK website, or which *3* are cold calling. Given the massive amount of recruitment agencies their are out there looking to source clients like Alsations, I find it odd that they are not using a known, reputable outlet like Reed, Manpower or similar.
  • Mr_Oink i have tried to pm you but it seems you dont accept them. could you pm me or make it so i could pm you as i have some questions id like to ask (if you dont mind) which i dont want to post on here. thanks

NewLifeAhead, I personally believe in doing *everything* out in the open and being transparent. Hence I don't do PM. Raise your concerns in the open here, so everyone can benefit from them ;-)

Tell ya what, give me a couple of mins and i'll go and say hi in every post so I can be a "known respected poster with a couple of thousand posts "

But of course I won't spam the forum and get my self kicked off lol

Dude, i'm just looking for a new job. I live in north wales old colwyn. In this area there is not a lot of jobs and what jobs there are you need to have skills etc etc etc. But, to get myself a job in these times we live in, I will work for the devil himself!

I feel like I have to defend myself from "forum trolls" although I am not defending this company. But, as I said before I will work for the devil!
