A couple of hints here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2291271&highlight=
For faded plastic trim the best way to restore it permanently is to heat it with a hot air gun until the oil comes to the surface, then rub in some groundnut oil or smooth peanut butter. be carful not to melt the plastic but it comes up like new and lasts as long as the original plastics, I find back to black doesn't last. only problem with the peanut butter is I sometimes catch my cat licking the car.0 -

Well iv got a private plate already and that will be going on so age will be hidden. Need to polish up the dashboard until its glowing, it seems a bit patchy just now(darker patches here and there?) Also i think seat covers will be a good idea even if it is just the drivers one. Giving the car mats to my mum as there girlie so new set off ebay i think. I think il just t cut it and get it glowing as much as i can and hope that does the trick. Im not wanting an s reg to look like a 2010 plate, more like a 2003. Just so it doesnt look like a total banger.Work in progress...Update coming July 2012.

If you are going for seat covers, get a complete set of plain colour ones, makes it look a little bit better than ones with a gaudy pattern or a dragon down the side!Proud of who, and what, I am. :female::male::cool:0
