So does that mean that this "charity organisation" are legit? My 16 year old bro in law has got a job with them but the guy who interviewed him is dodgy to say the least0

In my opinion stay clear unless presenting with a contract.
As long as theres a contract, its fine. You have the address of the person who registered the site so even if they then break terms of contract and try getting away with it, you have their home address for the police
In fact, I advise you not to tell them you have their home address if you are going to pursue this job.
For me the options would be
1) give it a try... if something goes wrong speak to police and give them details of the whois
2) avoid at all costs.
I'm a wuss so I'd avoid.
The internet is a wonderful place when it comes to WHOIS's. After doing a year of coursewokr we were told it would count for nothing after it was found someone had used a freelancer website to buy the solution to the assignment. I investigated and found the freelancer user who had a website he create, an underground private forum which couldnt be accessed from unauthorised IP's. I did a whois and got the guys name, address, phone number, everything...
Did a quick search on google, found his picture and a profile from his old school about how he was going to the same university.. so i knew it was the guy. I did a little report of evidence (one of my modules was forensics funny enough but this was related to JAVA programming).. showed the lecturer, and now the has been busted!!!!
People don't realise they can be tracked.. so if anything goes wrong theres always ways of tracing the personSo don't worry too much! Just dont give out any money!

I see why you're called mercilesskiller now
I'd avoid it too, even if it's legit would anyone want to work where they felt so uncomfortable with the employer. Also any registered charity MUST provide a landline number and proper postal address (no PO Boxes) in their literature."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Problem is that the adress is not their home address it is the address of a bar. The bar is where my 16 year old bro in law was "interviewed" He was then offered alcohol at this interview, then he was driven with 2 of his mates to Mcdonalds and bought tea. Then he was taken up onto the local moor so as this bloke could drive his high powered car on the moor. The he was asked by the "interviewer" whether they wanted to see something they hadnt seen before?!? He then directed them to the stars.
He said that they get paid £30 a night and their first assignment is in Bristol, 100 miles away, this friday in nightclubs collecting money.
I have told him to avoid the job and especially the person but he is having none of it. Now im making sure of my facts before i go over there and demand to see this guy with my mother in law.0 -

For people who know me its a purposful paradox to what I'm really like
Anyway about the subject in hand.. that seems like an odd interview burbs... Find out who owns the bar and see if the name is consistent with the interviewer?[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

That is probably one of the weirdest interviews I've ever heard of. I don't see how any charity would be able to use the address of a bar legitimately. If you can't get a registered number from anywhere I'd be tempted to report them to the police."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Hmm I looked at the web page...
Is this company selling themselves as a charity? As it would seem they're offering products and services to charities!.. at a cost!?!?!
Any official company/business will have official documents I suppose. I'm too young so i don't know what they are exactly, but there must be something you can demand to see to prove their legal? Possibly share information?[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."
