    Hi,

Another buyer who bought the one and only house they viewed.

Saw it advertised on the Sunday, rang up on Monday, viewed on Saturday, offer accepted the following Friday. That was middle of October and we exchanged on 12th December!

Loved the place the moment I set eyes on it!

2nd house I viewed is the house of my dreams! Problem was both me and my Mum had gone on the market to buy one together and really not in a position to put in an offer! Fast forward 6 months, house we wanted sold subject to contract so we viewed another 6. Mum's sold, house of dreams back on market, offered full asking price on condition I sold mine quick, reduced then sold mine, offer accepted, Mum's sale fallen through! Nightmare and stress continues!

looked at every house online valued between 100k and 230k within a 5 mile radius, over the last 6 months. so, thats thousands :(
    Shortlisted 50.

    then we sold our house

    viewed 25
    liked none of them

finally last week a house came up. knew it was the one. viewed twice, and now offer accepted

Didn't view any others. Made appointments to view two others as thought it might be daft to buy the first one we saw. But we cancelled them, as we knew we wanted the first one (and have lived it in for 11 years now)

    Just the one.

Same here. :) However, we knew the area, had looked at 20-30 online and had the EA details to about 10. I had seen our house on rightmove when we were originally looking 6 or so months before and we had ruled it out then. (Over priced and over our top budget!) Our sale and purchase at the time fell through and by the time we'd sstc again this house had been reduced in price by £20k. So here we are! (Moved in Oct)

I love this house, it ticked all our boses, plus an extra one... We only compromised on the back garden size (Our old one was huge) but I am getting used to that and DH is relieved as it is a lot less work!

When we bought our previous house, we looked at 2, the first one we offered on, but someone beat us to it, and the 2nd was the one we bought and lived in for 10 years!

We do a lot off research before we view and only view if it ticks the right boxes, including room sizes. How annoying is it when someone views and then says it was too small etc?!

spent nearly a year looking at every house under 80k in this and the town i am from, numerous arguments with the parents as they wanted me to look at places and i said i didnt like the area etc.
saw somewhere, fell in love with it, offer fell through and turned out it was like the money pit anyway.
my mum decided to show me the area she grew up in cos i had never seen it, then i found out it was near somewhere that an old work colleague lived, messaged her on facebook, she couldnt say enough good things about the area so went to look at 2 houses, 1 was half done the other a total mess but bigger and cheaper, i thought the bigger cheaper one was biting off more than i could chew, but nearly a year on i like it here
things arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then ;)
BH is my best mate too, its ok :)

I trust BH even if he's from Manchester.. ;)

We started looking for a house in 2005 - market took a dip so we waited until 2006 - market went bonkers so looked again in desperation in 2007. Market crashed. Looked again beggining of 2009, grandad died, moved into his place, started looking again earl this year. Offer now accepted.

All in all I must have looked at around 10,000 odd houses online and viewed at least a hundred.
    Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!
  • I looked at hundreds online. About 25 by doing drive pasts and about 10 properly, only one second viewing and we have had an offer accepted on it.
