Thought the time had come to join the i3 owners but now they've gone from the Maplin website! Where's the next best place to avoid paying £130?!0

You can sometimes get maplin money vouchers and also go through a cashback site like Quidco or TCB0

Richardp58 I got mine from Carphone Wearhouse through Quidco, comes in at approx 112 pounds.0

Thumbs up to Comet!!
My garmin i3 didn't turn up on the day stated. Their policy for this is they give you your delivery fee back if this happens. The garmin i3 came with free delivery. After I complained about it not arriving and told them someone had to stay in all day they not only chased up where it was and told me what was what but offered me a £10 goodwill payment. That means with cashback etc the unit will have cost me about £85. Can't say fairer than that and crack on customer service, especially considering that the problem was probably parcelforce's and not Comets.:j0 -
Hi,
I have a Nokia N70 and I bought the Navicore 2006 GPS system from MobileFun on the following link:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/10666.htm
For £129.95 this is a fair bit cheaper than many standalone GPS systems and comparable to the reduced price for the Garmin. The system works really well with good software (review at: http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2006/03/30/review_navicore_personal/), a tiny bluetooth Sirf III GPS unit (so as good as the current high end receivers), free* traffic jam updates and speed camera updates and it all works through your phone. The software comes on a RS-DV-MMC card for the phone but it's easy to transfer to a card with a larger capacity if you like.
The routing it provides has been pretty accurate and it's been handy using it in "walking mode" to navigate around an unfamiliar city.
I can't recommend it highly enough if you have a compatible Serie60 phone.
Cheers,
* you have to pay your network's data tariff but Navicore send highly compressed datafiles with this info, so not too pricey.0 -
Great Service from Carphone Warehouse, I ordered it online with free next day delivery for £124.99.
It arrived the next day as promised before lunch time, less than 24 hours turn around from the time of ordering.
Also using Quidco for 10% Cashback it came in at approx £112.00 so I think this is currently the best deal out there on the Garmin i3.0 -
Couple of questions.
I ordered this through rpoint but not sure it registered this. I cant see anything in rpoints since I ordered it a week ago. Has anyone else had this problem?
How do I find my nearest Ikea on this thing? It can find shopping centres in France but not Ikea down the road from me.0 -
How do I find my nearest Ikea on this thing?
The best thing to do would be to go to http://www.maft.co.uk/garmin/ and follow the intructions on loading POI's into your i3.
Ikeas are on the list!0
