Hi,
I've had several Sainsbury's loans over the past few years. I think I would have had PPI cover for them all aprt from my current one that I found seperate cover from ADMINICLE. I don't have the old paperwork for the loans. Threw it away because I was too ashamed to admit the truth! Is there anyway I can find out if I was sold PPI and can claim it back?
I have only just read about PPI on here and as you can see I am not sure if it will apply to me or not.
Thanks in advance for any advice,
missmental:o

Send a Subject Access Request to the lender, enclose a £10 Postal Order / Cheque, they have 40 days to supply you with every document they have with your name on. You will find a template letter on this site ( Unsure how to do a link to it i'm afraid! ) Good luck.
Have a read of the guide below to help you on your way ( Hopefully it will work )

Hi there
How long ago did you take this out (year), I agree with the other posters about a SAR request, but another way is though just as long as you still have the account number then you can still continue to make a reclaim, just as long as you are sure PPI was added and you have your reasons.
Good luck ask for help on this if required.

And do not worry, you have nothing to be ashamed about here.;)

Hi Di!
My current sainsbury's loan was taken out in november 2008 without PPI because it was so expensive with it. Prior to that I'm sure I may have had about 3 other sainsbury's loans with PPI. I'm going to send the template letter asking them for all the documentation of my loans.

Hi all,
I've received standard letter from Sainsbury's Bank today to confirm they have received my SAR letter requesting for copies of loan documentation and my cheque for £10.
Hopefully should get the information soon to proceed with the claim ( if indeed I did take out PPIis!). On my equifax report, I have had 5 loans with them & two with RBS. Will start with sainsburys first!
