New Debit Card

I just got my new Debit card, but it isn't a Switch anymore, it is a Visa Debit Card.
If I buy online what do I select now instead of Switch?
Also, so I charged anything as it says Visa on it?

Choose 'VISA' if using it online, or if it has a Delta logo on the back choose 'VISA Delta'! No you're not charged anything if you're thinking of interest etc... as it's a Debit card, not a Credit card.0

So even if I choose VISA, it still works like a switch card on my account statement?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Quick Grabbit, Freebies, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning and the UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.

I'd say yes, but which bank is it - seems strange to replace a Switch with a VISA debit?0

Probably Halifax, they are phasing out Switch and replacing with Visa Debit. There's no real difference, they are both debit cards and both accepted in the same places.
Why are they doing it? Because sometimes even banks ditch and switch one company in favour of another.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0 -

also by having the Visa logo you are better protected than just having a debit card.

Thanks all.
I will choose Visa then if I buy online.
Thanks again!

Those who previously had a Solo card are now being replaced with Visa Electron, which is a pain when trying to use them at certain places online (Tesco, Argos & Iceland rrefuse them) and the main reason I switched from Halifax to LTSB a few months ago."An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Oh dear! I know that Halifax and Bank of Scotland are partners and I've made an appointment to speak to someone at the B of S on Monday with a view to switching from the RBS. Does anyone know if the B of S issues this Visa Electron?
Thanks
