They've adjourned it so they can look into all the legal stuff, saying they thought it was just guidance (when in fact it is actual law). The union guy thinks he will get paid off not to take it any further, coz they don't like tribunals. He had a much fairer hearing than the first time, but even still there were some things said that just defy belief!!!! They listened much more seriously about the problems with his mother and seemed to take it on board just how ill she is, rather than just dismissing it. And they acknowledged that the HR girl was bang out of order for making the comments she did about his mother. So the waiting continues..............Official DFW Nerd #148

Yeah, they have told him they will contact him after the weekend about reconvening the meeting. In the meantime, we should find out tomorrow whether he can start his new job on Monday so that will be something positive.Official DFW Nerd #148
