Morning guys! Haven't been around for a while... well, that's not true, been lurking but thought I would get involved again today. Hope that's ok.
Bunny - Huge congratulations on your job! That truly is fantastic news, and I am so pleased for you. Really looking forward to hearing how it goes.
Claire - So pleased you have got your roof sorted, and you are such an inspiration with your dedication to your home. How's the jewellery going?
Luc - Sorry things aren't so great for you at the moment. I know it's easy for me to say, but I hope things get better for you soon. My partner and I were both made redundant last year - we don't have any dependents, but I know what a difficult situation it is. I have every confidence that someone will snap up your talents soon.
Snaggles - Good luck with the veg patch! I have a chilli plant in the kitchen, and hope to progress to proper produce in the garden this year!
And hope everyone else is happy and healthy.
I am in a good mood today. Have set myself spending targets for the last couple of weeks, and have been below target both times. Amazing what using cash instead of cards and doing a spending diary can do! Plus, it's the weekend!0 -
***stamps foot

shame you live the other end of the country to me otherwise i would say you could borrow a bit of mine as my back garden is over 80 foot long and i never get enough time to do what i want to it (including putting in a veg patch etc) just mowing it takes about 2 hours then i have all my hedges and the front garden as well

on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Squizz, I found Peas soooo easy to grow, chuck peas in ground, bit of water and leave...3 weeks later stick pea sticks in for them to grow up and voila rows and rows of lovely fresh peas

I've started some off already - I obviously know how stuff grows but there's something very exciting about putting a pea into soil and getting a plant! I've got 5 so far which are about an inch tall

Snaggles - I'm exhaused just reading about what you've done.
My mum's made my morning, she's just sent me a picture message of a Radley messenger bag that's come into her shop and if I like it it's mine. I'll giving her £10 for that tomorrow.

Yum, parsnips - I think they are one of the packets I have got. I really hope something grows!
Not sad at all (well, only as sad as me, anyway!).

450 calories an hour!!!! *pulls gardening shoes back on and heads back out*

I'll look into the compost bin thanks Gonzo - I wouldn't know where to start making one myself (I may be a kick-a$$ gardening girlie, but I am still a girlie
), so the more cheaply I can get one the better. I think I might have seen posters at the leisure centre advertising compost bins from the council, so shall investigate.
There was someone else I was going to reply to but I've forgotten! :rotfl:"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Ah Luc ((hugs)) sweetheart. No more advice from me but virtual friend support.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0

Snags, we got a compost bin from the council a couple of years ago - a massive one, was only £4 delivered.
Morning everyone
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

If we get lots I'll post you some :rotfl:
Good idea to look into a proper compost bin Snags, we made a homemade one out of netting and cardboard but it got soaking wet and when we went to use some last weekend it was horrible - hadn't rotted down properly and was just mouldy and smelly
