ggggrrrr wife has just informed me that she has redone the tax credits calc with the new wages i would get if i get the new job and it turns out that we will be no better off than we are at the moment even though it would be a 4k a year payrise
I thought tax credits were based on what you earnt the previous yearBoiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
well they are a complicated beast really as they also ask for your p60 at the end of the year to see if you have been overpaid or underpaid, they use the previous year as a base but you have to inform them of any changes in circumstances over the course of the current year so they can change your payment so you dont get overpaidDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Morning all
Not quite so cold here this morning which is lovely.
Had the local mobility place come round this morning to show DH a scooter, we've had trouble finding one to fit through our front door - this one did - hoooraahhh....but it wasn't suitable....boooooo. But at least we know the size we need....a work in progress.
DD2 is sleeping over at a friends tonight so I won't see her until 8pm tomorrow.....will miss her. Going to treat DD1 to a take away as we don't get much time with just the one of them."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -
Our tax credits should go up Hopefully this year cause DH has earn't £3000 less than last year and i didn't sell as much jewellery last yearBoiler pot £30.92/£10000

thanks all. it's a bit scary realising that i'll be working with 'real' people instead of just practising with class mates.Sounds good scaredy, I'd love to train in counselling but don't have the time at the moment
It will have taken me 4 years of study when the degree course finishes in 2011. The course have been one day a week for the diploma and 1 day and 1 evening for the degree.
Then i have to work for a min of 3 years before i can gain accreditation.Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

Morning all,
Happy Birthday to S for tomorrow Bookie
Claire - please don't over do it today.
Bookie -treat yourself to something from M&S or Bramissivo.
Cat - well done on your placement. :j
Me, I'm feeling a tad down today as I've been sleep walking again. Thankfully I've not been opening windows this time. (Which is a good thing, as I live in a first floor apartment!) I woke up this morning to find lots of black socks scattered across the hall way and living room floor. I can guarantee they weren't there before I went to sleep. I might have to tie myself to the bed tongiht! :rotfl:

Morning, (((hugs))) to those in need of them and happy birthday to Samuel. :A
I have had a fab but back breaking morning so far. Today was the day that Voldemort was supposed to be helping me create a vegetable patch at the bottom of my awkward triangular shaped garden, and I was really quite dreading today, knowing he would be on my mind a lot.
But I got up, took Ryan to school, and have dug over a big section of the garden - who needs men! It will take a long time to get it finished I think, still need to dig out another 2 ft wide, 12 ft long strip (its grass, weeds, roots of old bushes and huge stones, so not easy going at all), and then will need to hire a skip to shovel all the rubbish in...then need to track down a huge pile of manure to cover it with! Not looking forward to that bit!!
I was covered in mud when I'd finished, need a bath really but having a little rest first! Shattered!!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
Morning all and Happy Birthday to wee S!
Thanks Squirrely, I am a happy bunny xxx
We're being taken for a meal by MD next week for this job so have ordered the most expensive meal! LOL!
Hope everyone takes care of themselves and their loved ones, lots of happiness and sadness around right now xxEmpty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
well done snaggles, i dont know if you know but a lot of councils do discounted composters for when you get your patch up and running (of course you can build your own if you have the stuff to do so) but well worth it to save on having to buy compost and manure in futureDrop a brand challenge
