Well folks where others have let me down, o2 Broadband are a very good exception!!!!
Ordered online Friday 5th March 2010, modem pack came Monday 8th and Broadband live today. (11th)
I have been kept up-to-date with texts to my mobile.
I rang them about wep key and they answered quickly and simply.
Set up was easy and quick with a cd in the welcome pack which came via DHL.

02 customer services are the best I have found .My mate bought a new laptop but couldn't download 02 .I was on the phone to 02 for nearly 2 hours (free phone number ) trying to get it sorted ,turned out the problem was the anti virus .
O2 also give you a months trial and if you don't like it ,you can cancel ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
Hope its not O2 access your on as your joy will be short lived :eek:0

Definately on £7.50 discounted package.
I just can't believe how quick and easy it was to get it added to Bt line and working.
May still get £50 Quidco whenever.
Modem looks cool
Yer the 0800 free cust serv is great and uk call centres.
Really don't know how they can do it for £7~50 per month!!!0 -
Sounding like a happy customer story there! Pricing wise it's called land-grab in a highly competitive market
Indeed from time to time if one knew about, and blagged, all the joining incentives then o2 have occasionally, effectively PAID THE SUBSCRIBER to use the service for a year - ie o2 subs with free months less £back = cash TO you!
As I recall you are on o2 Standard (ie LLU circuit upto 8Mbps synch @£12.50 less £5/m o2 mobile discount). If your line can deliver more than 8Mbps (the modem synch isn't restricted in anyway for the first few days) then they will readily let you upgrade to o2 Premium (at £2.50/m more) which could be VFM if your synch is significantly over 8Mbps - so do have a look at your modem stats to see what synch is being achieved - you may be even luckier/happier than you are alreadyOtherwise the modem synch will get capped at 8Mbps after a few days and your LLU ADSL line has been optimised/stabilised.
Idea: Do participate in the ThinkBroadband o2 Forum if you have more questions/ideas/praise

OP, you should not be using WEP encryption, it is not secure and very easily hacked. You should use WPA level encryption.
But glad you are happy with O2.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Thanks......
I've switched to WPA with my own 20 letter/number key
My speed is showing as 1.3 up, 14.934 down.
Maybe should have signed up to 20mpbs, wonder if cust serv would let me upgrade and get the £50 mob credit as the order process couldn't tell me what speeds were avail?
Modem is easy to change to wpa and admin password,0 -

Good, WPA is what you need. If you are getting 15Mbps down, then you must already be on the Premium service-the Home Standard service is capped at 8Mbps.
14Mbps is plenty fast enough surely? No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Same here, I work from home and have tried sky and bt internet to no avail, got o2 last month offering £100 cashback through quidco and two months free, so the £17.50 per month works out very little, it has tracked at £120 in quidco and is working a treat!! I use 4 laptops ion the house and all my calls come through the internet and not had any trouble with it.

You're on 02 Access (non LLU service) and happy with it? You must be the only customer in the UK who is!No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
mk-donald says "the modem synch isn't restricted in anyway for the first few days"
