unusual center piece help - get your thinking caps on ladies

We have NO flowers at our wedding, im just not a flower person, not to keen on candles were getting married in august the venue has floor to ceiling windows all the way round so we dont want candles, we feel it would be a bit pointless and balloons just dont feel right, but if all else fails we will go with these.

I need some totally unusual / different / out there center piece ideas.

We have big round tables.

But heres the biggie - they must cost no more for me to buy or make than £20 per table and i need 8 -10.

But i will go a little over budget if there exactly ehat i am after.

I have sorted everything else, everything on my spread sheet is green, these centerpieces ar e the only thing sitting there in bold red writing.

oh yeah iknew i'd forget to include something.

The colour scheme for the day is white, fuschia pink and a touch of silver, my bouquest and all the button holes are swarovski crystals.

But then the colour scheme will change slightly at night to include loads of brigt colours like, lime green orange, pink, red, blue etc.

But we dont mind if the centerpieces are this colour all day.



I have had the idea of getting plant pots and some sticks, putting plaster of paris in the bottom of the pots to set the sticks and attach photos of me and DF from us being babies to our lives together now. Does that sound like a good idea. It will look like a pot full of large stemed flowers and i think it will make a great talking point, all those embarrising photo's.

Plus i have about 20kg of plaster of paris that needs using up.

I was going to have the tall lily vases with the ostrich feather but DF said they would make the day look a little camp / boudoiresque.

I liked them but he doesnt.

I tired! hehehe Lots of people have bird cages and fish bowls, some with actual fish in. (fish bowls not bird cages)

fish bowls with goldfish - been there done that the 1st time i got married. Plus most venues ban them now after the RSPCA got involved after hearing reports that people were feeding the fish alchohol.

we are having a sweetie buffet at the night time so sweetie bouquets are a no go - i had already thought about them. A lot of ribbon and not much candy in those either.

Im a nightmare, maybe im just asking the impossible.
